We need honest opinions. So that we can make the right choices. But today's social networks are echo chambers. We want to change that. Introducing Pollster. No profiles, just honesty. Ask anything & get public opinions. Discover what people think honestly.
Honesty is the greatest thing about Product Hunt - the community's feedback tells us, Makers, which product should we pursue. So we wanted to let anyone test their ideas in public before pursuing something. So - do you think Pollster can be big?
@david_baraev This is really cool! Do you guys plan on making a collaboration option? Collaboration within the app would be nice as it would allow users to come together to answer questions or create polls. It would transform the app into a hub for shared knowledge and collective decision-making, making the experience more interactive and engaging for everyone involved. Also I do believe it could be big. As someone who’s on social media quite a bit I see that people do put up a ton of polls on places like Snapchat or Instagram, but having a dedicated app like that would be so much easier and probably would have much more options when creating said polls.
This is a really cool idea - getting honest opinions is always super helpful. I'd encourage you to continue to explore revenue models other than those used by some of the established brands like paying per response or per engagement. It might also be worth having people set up a profile to some extent (while keeping it anonymous), because ultimately when I conduct a poll I want to know some basic demographics of who answered it. Congrats on the launch and keep on keeping on! If I could pay $8 / month to conduct a few polls and get solid responses I'd probably do it. I don't know what incentive the individuals responding to the polls have to use the app, but I'm sure your team is thinking about that already.
@adam_fry Thanks so much for such an extensive feedback, Adam! We are definitely in the process of coming up with the ideal user retention strategy. We also believe that we need to find the perfect balance between anonymity and the ability to view valuable response statistics.
Interesting idea. Being able to anonymously ask something and get honest feedback from a bigger group of people without the fear of being judged - because no one actually knows who asked the question or asked for the opinion has a potential. Congratulations on the launch :)
