I’m Job, part of the founding team of Polarsteps. With summer right around the corner, we're leveling up how you can plan, track, and relive your adventures in the Polarsteps app with three major updates.
These are some of the biggest feature launches we’ve had in a long time, and we’re really excited to hear what you think. Hopefully, they’ll help make your summer adventures even more epic! ☀️
Today, we’ll go live on iPhone (and coming to Android soon) with:
- Personalized itineraries: Say hello to tailored travel suggestions. Our new AI-powered itinerary builder actually analyzes your past trips to craft the perfect plan, built around the way you like to travel.
- A step glow-up: Bigger photos. Bolder design. A whole new look for your trip, with your memories right where they belong: front and center.
- Trip Reel magic: Our new Trip Reel feature turns the highlights of your adventure into a memory-packed, shareable video, perfect for reliving your best moments or sharing them with the world.
And that’s not all! We’ve also added the possibility to choose your transport mode (be it plane, train, or even canoe!) and to find and add stays for your planned trips.
Maximiliano Neustadt, Koen Droste and I are so excited about these new features and would love to hear what you think. And what we should work on next, of course! We’ll be hanging out in the comment section and are happy to answer any questions you might have.

Our Polarsteps Pioneers (an influencer program we have that is all about supporting true adventurers) will share the new features, we're running specialized online ads and out-of-home ads for our different growth markets, as well as doing ASO. @jobharmsen Curious – is that give away a good lead magnet? I remember when we did a campaign for iPhone (people were required to upload post on Instagarm) but they were so lazy that nobody did it :D

@jobharmsen P.S. I didn't know that OOH is so effective too in this field (Billboards and citylights?)
