A podcast app with a desktop version!! Already in my good books for that alone, so many apps neglect desktop but as I do most of my listening while working having a desktop app is a real plus!

@subhash93 Congrats on the launch! I found this a few months back and love it. But when I connect it to my Android Auto the lists are empty? Am I missing something?
Subhash R
@andrewroque this issue was fixed recently. Can you pls try the latest version the app.

Grats on the launch here! I may give it a go. How much will it cost after the early user lifetime offer ends?
Subhash R
@saasdesigner since you are an early user, it will be free for you for life :)

Multiple playlist is something it seems unique (not sure about the practical use), but other than that what would say should are the big reasons to try out Podurama to someone who is using google or Apple Podcasts?
Subhash R
@abhishek1846 If you listen to lot of podcasts, you can organize them easily using genres or custom tags. You can take notes/bookmark in episodes. You can also create collaborative playlists with friends to share episodes easily. There are lot more features. You can try it out :)

๐Ÿ‘‹ Hi Product Hunt, For the past many months, we have been working on Podurama - a next-gen Podcast player, incorporating features that listeners wanted but couldn't find in any other app. The app is available on iOS, Android, Web, macOS and Windows10. As an early user, you will get free data sync between unlimited devices (including the webapp at https://podurama.com along with the mobile and desktop apps). Some of the main features include: - Organize podcasts by genres and custom tags. - Search both shows & episodes, and filter by genre, language etc. - See popular episodes in every show page. - Take notes for podcast episodes and also bookmark within episodes. - Create multiple playlists and Auto playlists. - Create collaborative playlists with friends or public playlists for your followers. - Sort your favourite podcast episodes into tiers (1-5). - Ability to listen offline, custom rss feeds and many more. Please let us know your thoughts. We would appreciate any feedback :) Thanks!

@nok_moe Hope you enjoy the app :)

@subhash93 congrats on the launch Subhash, Im just in the market for a product like yours. My podcasts are growing in number and I need a better way to keep track and organize them.
Subhash R
@berkaydin thank you. Most of our users manage by creating custom tags for group of podcasts. You might find it useful :)

Congrats on the launch. I have been using it for months now and suffice to say, I am a happy listener. Keep up the good work! P.S. Just read your initial post and found out I can sort fav episodes into tiers. Awesome. Always fun discovering new features.

Carsten Ortmann
Hi, I've already shared these points with Podurama's supportdepartment, but I thought I'd share them here as well: I came to Podurama from Overcast, and there are certainly features in Podurama that are way better (more cool) for me than there. But there are still things Iโ€™d like to see in Podurama. I miss being able to move (bulk move) several episodes at a time within a playlist or a queue - Mark them and drag them up or down the list. A miss a window that has every new episode of my subscribed podcasts - and the ability to filter the ones that have already been added to a playlist or queue. I also miss the option to open a Playlist or Queue in a separate window (on a computer, obviously) and to be able to drag and drop episodes onto playlists. Anywhere in the list and not necessarily at the end. I would love a separate History-window with previously played episodes. Right now the episodes Iโ€™ve listened to stay in the Playlist, marked a Played, which means I have to scroll through all those to get to the ones playing right now and will be played after that. Itโ€™s be great if played episodes could be seen in their own window. I miss the option to right-click on an episode and choose โ€œPlay Next" All that said, though, I really do like the app, and if youโ€™re able to incorporate the above suggestions/wishes, itโ€™ll be close to perfect. Thanks, Carsten
Subhash R
@carsten_ortmann thanks for the suggestions :) As we mentioned in the email, we already started working on some of these features and you can hope to see them in the coming months.
Amelia Thompson
@subhash93 i have been using the app for a while now and love the sync between devices. Will the sync be free forever?
Subhash R
@amelia_t since you are an early user, it will be free forever to you :)
Amelia Thompson
@subhash93 ah nice! May i know how you plan to monetise?
Subhash R
@amelia_t we haven't decided yet. We are mainly in the proceess of growing our audience for now :)
Vartika
Great app so far. I have only recently switched from Spotify (which is great for songs and all but not so much for podcasts). Quick question though, how can I bring my subscribed podcasts over to Podurama?
Subhash R
@vs93 most podcast players(possibly including Spotify) provide an option to export your pocasts to OPML file. You can then import that file in Podurama :)
Vartika
@subhash93 wow that was quick. Thanks, Subhash. Do you mind telling me where do I need to go in the app to import the file. I will try later to export the OPML file from Spotify but just want to know how it works. Sorry for the trouble.
Subhash R
@vs93 In Podurama, under settings tab, there is an option named "Import OPML". You can use that.

Great podcast player, came over from Clementine as it seems the current maintainers don't care about podcast functionality. Is there any reason why you do not have installer version available on Windows platform? Some additional suggestions: minimize to taskbar support on windows mouse draggable progress bar UI change to maximize the length of the progress bar (as some podcasts can be many hours long) when you restart the program, the last active podcast will not resume settings moved to sidebar from account close sidebar when main window is clicked on cache content so it does not "load up" for a second after each startup
Subhash R
@taivo_tobreluts thanks for the suggestions. We will add them to the list. Re installer version, do you mean separate exe file rather than downloading from Windows store?
Taivo Tobreluts
@subhash93 Yes, exactly. That initially made me reconsider trying the app as Windows store is notoriously unreliable.
