Supercharge your team by building internal features into the apps you already use, without code. Create your own add-ons, command bar tools, or notifications. Works with Gmail, Airtable, Zendesk, HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Intercom and many others.

Hey Product Hunt! Super excited to announce Ply’s open beta 💃 Ply lets you build internal features into the apps you already use, without code. Instead of building more internal tools, you can now build contextual solutions into your team's apps. The benefits are faster time to value, wider (and faster) adoption, no onboarding, and of course - no context switching. Also, users just love it. While some problems require their own tool, in most cases having a contextual solution is 10x more effective. Think about it this way: when a software company wants to solve a problem for its users - it doesn’t create an entire new product, it creates a feature where the problem is. Ply is bringing this ability to internal products too. While individuals are welcome to build with Ply, it's primarily made for teams, where a few people build features for many. Most of our builders are ops, developers, internal PMs or heads of X. So far we've seen a lot of support and sales teams, some company-wide features and of course procurement, HR, finance and legal. Use-cases vary widely - we'd love to hear what you want to build, that's how we learn. Reach out to us if you need help building :)

There are currently 4 types of features you can build with Ply

🧩 Add-ons - buttons inside your apps that open custom interfaces overlayed where you are. They are contextual, meaning they can use data from the item you’re currently on (like an email, a deal, or a ticket). 🧩 Tools - features that work anywhere with Ply’s command bar, they can use URLs and selected text. 🧩 Actionable Notifications - event-based notifications with custom post-click functionality. 🧩 Portals - customer-facing embeddable features directly on your apps’ data.

Built for teams, small and large

✔️ Magic sharing - builders can remotely add features to team apps, end-users have nothing to learn. ✔️ Collaboration - get granular with spaces that let your team build and manage features together ✔️ Synced groups - sync permission structure from other apps. For example, you can share Ply features in Zendesk based on Zendesk teams, and never have to manage permissions in Ply. ✔️ Step level connection mode - define some actions to run with a one-for-all connection, and some with a per-user connection. For example, in one step you can have a single Airtable connection to get data from a database for all users, and in anther step let every user connect their own Gmail to send an email. 🛡️ Security first - aligned with the strictest standards. Also, very compliant: SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, CSA, GDPR. If you need enterprise controls like SSO, PII filtering or on-prem data hosting - reach out to us. We'd love (love!) to know what you think - please share feedback, ideas, use-cases and questions :) And thank you @benln for hunting us!

I've been using Ply for a few weeks now and it's been a game-changer for me. The interface is intuitive and user-friendly, and the features are exactly what I needed to streamline my workflow. Thanks for creating such a fantastic product, Ply team!"
Samuel Stevenson
@ytross I notice y'all were hunted by Ben Lang. Any plans to integrate with Notion? 😁
Yaniv Tross
@samuel_stevenson Definitely. We already integrate with Notion as a data source so you can send and get data from your databases. Internally, we have contextual add-on support for Notion (and we've built a lot of add-ons!), but the creation experience isn't clear enough. We're working on making it more seamless and will release to everyone. Shouldn't be too long. We send our regular product updates - stay tuned!

Congrats Yaniv and team!

I've been using Ply for a while now, and I'm super impressed by how intuitive and powerful your builder is. Kudos on your launch. One thing I wanted to ask, though, are there any plans to let users build their own context for apps you don't support?
Yaniv Tross
@roypovar Hey Roy! Thanks for the kind words! Yeah, we've been getting this a lot. We definitely want to let you define custom contexts. We've built Ply with different ways to support context awareness, we're still working on making this intuitive enough for anyone. Currently, our thoughts are to have a no-code context creator for most use-cases and a codable one for when you need even more control. We'll keep you posted!!

Looks amazing......... I get that it's no-code, but can I run my own api calls? Run custom code?
Yaniv Tross
@on Thanks On!! Yeah, Ply had dev helpers to let you run API calls easily and a code action that currently supports JS. Let us know if there's anything else you want us to support!

Good luck guys!

Lihay Gersht
As a PM who works closely with our support team, having the flexibility to improve our team's workflow is crucial. Doing so can help identify and solve pain points more quickly, while also saving on expensive engineering work 💪. I'm excited to give it a try. The next generation of SaaS ☀️
Gal Spiegel
@lihay Thanks so much! Please let us know if you need any help building :)

This is an amazing concept. Looks like it’ll make a big change in the no-code world. Do you have an interesting use case for LinkedIn?
Maayan Abenina-Adar
Hey there @eyalfarhi 👋 One of our popular use cases for LinkedIn is lead capturing for sales/marketing. This is achieved with a button added to profiles (full page view or in a list e.g. search results). This button shows you an interface prefilled with details from the current profile, with any additional fields you might want for the lead. You can also add a button to the LinkedIn messenger, which can be used to generate messages from a template. This is useful for generating quickly generated sales pitches that are personalized to the person you're talking to. Check out this video to see what I'm talking about in action: https://www.loom.com/share/93e65...

@nimrod_back No, you're great ❤️
Grant Shaddick
Woo great launch!
Yaniv Tross
@9rantys Thanks Grant. Parts of the video made with Tella 2.0 ❤️
Tom Reuveni
Love the concept! sounds like a lot of awesome things can be built. Is it only for Chrome, or do you plan to work with other browsers?
Yaniv Tross
@tom_reuveni Thanks Tom! To make sure we focus, we officially only support Chrome at the moment. However, since this is a Chromium extension, we've seen users use it on all Chromium browsers. Official support for other browsers is on the roadmap.

Been testing Ply for a few weeks, and it boggles the mind to think of all the possibilities. We have so many use cases that we have a hard time to prioritize what to do first. Very excited to keep using Ply and implementing it across our company.
Maayan Abenina-Adar
It's been very exciting to see what you and the Mild.se team have been working on in Ply, @demattia 🙌
Altryne
Really cool idea, I've built multiple chrome extensions for teams, and we've even shared them internally (extension store let's you deploy extensions to the whole team) Assuming this would have an outside of the chrome webstore sharing mechanism? Additionally, one of the main things is... websites change, css/layout etc' all change and there needs to be a constant testing, how is Ply considering supporting dynamic websites with their intergrations? Is it automated ?
Guy Schlider
@altryne Thanks! :) re: detecting website changes (css etc) - we do have internal tools to monitor changes, that way we are able to quickly fix and adapt to new layouts, and even to support a/b tests (where 2 different users see different layout in the same app).
