Pipedream MCP - 2,500+ APIs and 10,000+ tools for your AI assistant

Pipedream has launched mcp.pipedream.com with dedicated MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers for 2,500+ integrated apps. These servers enable AI assistants like Claude and Cursor to securely access and interact with 1000s of APIs through a standard protocol.

We’re excited to share our latest AI developer toolkit and registry of 2500+ MCP servers at mcp.pipedream.com.

Individuals can supercharge their productivity by securely connecting accounts and giving LLMs access to their tools, and app developers can give their AI agent superpowers by deploying MCP servers so your customers can access 10,000+ tools in minutes.

Key features:
- MCP servers for 2500+ applications
- Over 10,000 pre-built tools and actions
- Run servers locally or deploy the servers to your app
- Configure params & make API requests via tool calls
- Built-in managed auth for secure credential storage

Pipedream's MCP servers use the Connect API to manage auth and make API requests, and are free for individual use. See pricing for running production applications.

@tod_sacerdoti Congrats on the launch. It's a big unlock for lot's of automations

Danny Roosevelt

Thank you, @k_piotr!

I’ve been a Pipedream fan for many years, and their new features are unbelievably good!

To all developers—and anyone who wants to become one—check it out.

The team is fantastic, and I love how actively they support users in their Slack channel.

Danny Roosevelt

@danielsinewe thank you for your longtime support! 🙏🏻

Massive unlock for AI agents and developers! Integrating 2,500+ APIs into a standardized MCP server architecture not only streamlines secure tool access but also opens the door to truly composable AI workflows. The scale and flexibility here are game-changing. Curious how you're seeing adoption across LLM frameworks like LangChain or Autogen!

Danny Roosevelt

Thanks @suryansh_tiwari2, we've been seeing really strong adoption on both the individual consumer side (plugging a url in to Claude or Cursor to 10x what it can do for you personally) as well as devs who are shipping their own agents -- MCP just dramatically reduces the custom integration work you have to do to expose the full set of tools to the agent or LLM.

Impressive launch! The integration of 2,500+ APIs for AI assistants is a significant step forward. Curious—how does Pipedream MCP handle authentication and rate limiting across such a vast array of services?

Danny Roosevelt

Thanks,@patpijanowski , good questions — our MCP server is powered by Pipedream Connect, which handles user authentication to all of the APIs. The server is using Pipedream's SDK, which uses client credential OAuth to enable the LLM to make requests to Pipedream's API. We then send requests to Notion, Gmail, Slack, etc from Pipedream's server (user credentials are never exposed directly to the LLM).

Gianmaria Caltagirone

Love that you’ve wrapped 2,500+ APIs in Model Context Protocol servers; it definetly turns “connect my AI agent to X” into a three-word prompt! 🚀

How are you tackling auth at scale—does MCP proxy OAuth tokens, or do assistants get short-lived keys? And for high-traffic endpoints, is there auto-throttling so a runaway agent doesn’t torch a quota?

Danny Roosevelt

Thanks @gianmaria_caltagirone , handling auth is definitely one of the biggest hurdles for interacting with so many APIs. Built-in managed auth helps create a seamless experience for end users, and is at the core of Pipedream Connect, which is what's powering our MCP server. And yes, the Pipedream SDK issues a short-lived token for the server to use, to enable the tool calling from the LLM (user credentials are never exposed directly to the LLM). Since all of the tool calling uses Pipedream Connect, we're able to handle rate limits are any dimension and scale (user / tool / API, etc).

Jason Chernofsky

so wait... now i can automate with any of these tools? this is awesome

Tod Sacerdoti

@jason_chernofsky Yes, automate away!

Chris Pitchford

Cool - congrats on the launch, y'all!

Danny Roosevelt

Thanks, @seepitch 🙏

Ali Waseem

Wow this is actually amazing. I can’t wait to use this at work to speed up documentation from all our source. Doing the lords work pipe dream haha

Tod Sacerdoti

@awaseem Thanks for the comment and we will keep doing the lords work :-)

Jun Shen

I'm impressed by MCP's security and ease of API integration! 👍

Danny Roosevelt

@shenjun thanks -- security and ease of use are critical in this model 🙏🏻

We love pipedream MCP, we just released it today in Alter https://youtu.be/8Cjc_LwuFkU?fea...
Danny Roosevelt

@olivierlegris nice! Are you using the individual hosted URLs, or did you deploy the server to Alter?

James Shamenski

Looks great! What if I want to connect to apps that are not in your existing marketplace? I'm interested in connecting with several hotel property management systems like CloudBeds or Sabre that are not listed.

Danny Roosevelt

@gladrobot we have a dedicated team that can quickly jump on new integrations — we're tracking those here:
https://github.com/PipedreamHQ/pipedream/issues/16626
https://github.com/PipedreamHQ/pipedream/issues/16627

Feel free to edit those and add additional context or request more integrations!
