Hey, this looks nice (not available on Android though)
As I understand, you are an email provider and your product is similar to G Suite but for email only and getting an address on our own domain is a free feature, correct?
I see there are "Email sending limits" but it's not mentioned what these limits are.
Can we set up email forwarding?
@anna_0x thanks Anna! We have plans for an Android app too
Correct, setting up (unlimited) email addresses on your domain is free. We are an email host like Gmail, Outlook, Fastmail etc.
The limits are just on the free accounts mainly to prevent Spam. Paid accounts which are coming soon won't have any major limits (other than those to prevent someone spamming). We haven't set in stone what those limits are yet, but we want to make sure they will be high enough for normal daily email activity.
Email forwarding (and aliases) aren't available yet, but are on our roadmap. Hope that helps!
@aaronoleary we did a major overhaul (border line pivot) of our web app to be a full-featured email provider and the iOS app was completely re-built (which is what we just launched). The old version of Pingly was basically a messaging app that worked over email, however we found that functionality was too limited. We went back to the drawing board to figure out what we were really trying to accomplish and this is the result of that. Hope that helps!
@martin_tauber great question! The main difference is that while Spark is an email client, Pingly is a full email host (with built-in client). Pingly is an email provider like, Gmail, Outlook, Fastmail etc. Once you setup your domain on Pingly (DNS etc), inbound / outbound email is then enabled for your domain.
We've just got started on the client features for Pingly and will be adding much more in the next coming weeks / months.
