Need to say, I'm an early fan and adopter of Niantic Labs games - starting from Ingress, but the Pikmin Bloom is.... "Just" AR game.
It's not bad, it's not "not cool", it just ABSOLUTELY same as others. I have seen all these ideas before, flowers (portals, training gums) at the same places, planting flowers (collecting XM....), lifelog (hi, Sony old ideas!) - all this is mixed inside this game.
If you are new to this - try it. If you are experienced AR|geolocational game players - beware, Niantic creates the same game as Harry Potter\Pokemon\Ingress again. This is disappointing, no REALLY new ideas inside, just another partnership with a huge brand, but no "gamechanger" experience.
@product_at_producthunt like a couples of ton :) As for my perspective time is lost, the train is gone.
Niantic has ignored her own fans (and existing bugs in game!) for years, barring rare anomalies and offline events.
Now they have started a forum, technical support, login through other social networks - for save community, but the real fans are no longer with them.
Another fun Niantic x Nintendo collaboration. I'm excited to see what fun Pikmin I find hanging out in Brooklyn.
"The heart of the game, for me, is that on your daily walk, you're actually able to plant flowers as you go," John Hanke
@gabe one day playing Ingress I was forced to visited 3 countries for 2 days non-stop travel (and not, that was not European invisible borders) โ need to say that our fraction win, but I caught overdose of redbull and car driving :)
