Your best choice for organizing images and ideas. Help you collect, search, organize, share design files in one place. Super Fast Photo Viewer with Excellent Experience.
The product interface and functions are quite similar to Eagle three years ago shared on the Product Hunt. Curious to ask what is the difference between the two products?
@tseng_chung_ping The big difference is that Picsee manages and organizes your design files or images in an open manner, which just link to folders, do not copy files into Picsee. It also monitor changes in folders, everything changes in folders will reflect in Picsee in time. Th second is that Picsee make use of iCloud and third-party cloud services to manage and organize assets in different computer, Eagle have some problems using Dropbox to sync because taking up files. Hope these answers can help you!
@tseng_chung_ping@chitaner This is a double-edged sword. From a storage perspective, it looks like Picsee would be better, but I wonder which is more performant? Eagle's method of building internal collections is excellent for backing up, exporting, or migrating large batches of images (or your entire library) very easily.
The other aspect of Eagle is that you start to use it to manage and save certain image types exclusively, so referencing your standard folder structure becomes less of an issue over time. However, if you have a large, complex image library with many folders, it looks like Picsee would be easier to get up and running without a huge amount of reorganisation and manual tagging (which is what I had to do in Eagle).
Is a Windows version of Picsee planned or Mac-only for the time being?
@tseng_chung_ping@deejtulleken Thanks for in-depth reviews, next step, we will develop Picsee on iOS, for Windows, because we develop Picsee with swift and iCloud, so it will be a long time I think.
