Hi Product Hunt! We're happy to answer any questions about what we're doing. Codie is a robotic toy that teaches kids the principles of coding. We have created a unique and intuitive application and a wooden robot to make learning coding tangible and fun. We're running a crowdfunding campaign to produce our robots and get the joy of coding out to many children. Check it out on the link!

@adamlipecz Hi, very cool concept. I hope it creates the necessary "mental patterns" for kids to become great at coding. Good luck on the crowdfunding campaign. Added to my "UberKids" collection. www.producthunt.com/marwannas/co...

@marwannas Hi Thank you so much for the kind words. We paid attention from the first second to provide educational value in abstract thinking so we designed carefully the learning path. But if you have any specific questions do not hesitate to ask :)

Awesome can't wait to give one of these to my nieces! I remember a *very* basic programmable roving robot when I was at school (~15 years ago?) that could just move in directions, which you inputted by pressing 4 arrow keys in order and then hitting "run". Played with that thing for so long... But the visual "block" programming language on Codie looks so much more powerful for teaching thought processes like conditionals (are there loops?). It reminds me of MIT's Scratch language a bit.
