10 days after my Product Hunt Launch, and why I think Everyone should start here

Hey makers

I launched @PayScope just 10 days ago. A tiny experiment-turned-product that estimates your market salary from your resume. No sign-up, no onboarding, upload and get the analytics.

I launched it directly on Product Hunt, literally the same day I made the tool public.

No support from big names. No early users. No large network.

Here’s what happened and why I believe Product Hunt is still the best launchpad for early products:

1. PayScope was not featured but still hit #8 of the day

Yep. No feature, still made it to #8 on launch day. And that alone brought more visibility than I could’ve imagined.

2. User feedback hit immediately and shaped the roadmap

The comment section turned into a real-time product workshop. Someone suggested adding the ability to switch countries without re-uploading a resume(now in development). Another asked for a download/share report feature(also coming soon). Simple additions I hadn't thought of and wouldn’t have considered without real users interacting with the product in the wild.

3. Newsletters and directories picked it up without me asking

A few startup newsletters and ai-related directories noticed the launch and featured PayScope.ai completely organically. That brought in a wave of relevant traffic and gave me a massive boost in credibility.

4. Backlinks followed and SEO momentum kicked in

Those mentions turned into quality backlinks. Over the past 10 days, my domain authority has jumped three times, and organic traffic from search engines has started showing up.

The launch created a ripple effect that’s still growing.

TL;DR

If your product is ready to go public - don’t wait. Don’t obsess over perfect design, fancy screenshots, or being featured.

Just launch here, get feedback and iterate fast.

You can always come back with a polished v2 (which I plan to do).

Huge thanks to everyone who supported, commented, or just took a look. You made this real.

If you’re preparing your own launch, I'd be happy to chat and share what worked for me.
