π Papermark Launch Week
Today is the first day of our Launch Week. That's right 5 launches in 5 days!
Follow along on Papermark and Twitter.
Really cool product, congratulations on launching! I saw the example says you can turn pitch decks into investment memos.
Any other templates you often see/are planning on implementing in the near future?
@nicolaas_spijker It's totally free form. There's a powerful LLM under the hood with OpenAI so you can ask Papermark AI to do anything with your document :)
Congrats on the launch team! Love that you can "chat" with documents and turn decks into memos. Is there future development where you can turn docs into decks or perhaps even a pitch script/notes? Also, sending luck for the rest of your launch week! π
@alexey_sytnikov1 Would be awesome! Having worked with a lot of founders and worked with them to prepare for funding - working on their pitches is an area that is often overlooked!
@carolmoh such a great idea, Carol! I like the pitch notes idea β this is possible now. The creation/generation of new documents is definitely a feature that we can consider in the future :)
@jgani I think @mfts0 can response best for it.
But my feeling is definitely yes.
Amazing contributors on GitHub is also huge support in terms of development.
@jgani first of all, it's super rewarding to build in public and open-source. the open-source community is great and helps with early adoption. open-source attracts likeminded people and contributor who want to follow your journey. code is not the moat anymore. :)
@matous_kralik
Hi Matous
Good question.
So Papermark is an alternative to Docsend for sharing docs/pitch decks via link and capturing analytics.
Now if smn share doc with you, you can just instantly summarise and look for info.
No downloads, uploads and etc.
@iuliia_sh What? π That made no sense. So theres absolutely no need for this tool since ChatGPT released the function to upload docs and then you can do the exact same thing you do...
Have seen Papermark in action
Super excited for what it can unlock
No more "Did they get it, did they read it, what did they like"
And versioning β€οΈ
Check the analytics, upload a new version, see how things changed π§
If you send documents to multiple people for review or input, this is a must!
Papermark is fantastic! Marc and Luliia are creating an amazing product and rapidly delivering on some of the most needed features.
Understanding and reasoning with documents you receive and send is the next step, keen to try it all out! π
Congratulations on launching Papermark AI! The idea of interacting with documents like a conversation is super innovative. It'd be really cool if there was a feature to customize the assistant's responses based on user preference or document type. How does the AI handle highly technical jargon or industry-specific terminology?
@daxeelsoni Very good ideas, so currently you can chat with your documents, no specifics on what type of discussion it should be.
The advance part is that you can chat with any shared with you document.
But maybe in the future if we know exact different use cases, we can make customisation of AI chats for it, which user can select.
Your launch of Papermark AI is indeed exciting and the idea of an AI assistant for documents is revolutionary, promising to save users a lot of time on document processing; can't wait to give it a try!
We self-host Papermark at Rubric Labs for doc-sharing. Brilliantly-simple alternative to Docsend. Features are well-executed, so I can't wait to try new stuff!
@olenabomko That is how life works when you committed to grow two different completely different products. Need to launch both all the time π
and building something new also from time to time.
@nevo_david Hey Nevo, yes this version is using the OpenAI Assistant API. It's really the fastest way to launch with high quality output. As we gather feedback from users and customers, we will consider switching to a custom built solution using vector dbs. Feel free to dig into the code :)
@nevo_david hahaha that may very well happen. I'm pretty happy with their API right now and it will get only better. The only biggie missing is message streaming but it's coming soon
I've been using Papermark for a while now as a VERY solid replacement of Docsend.
Papermark has done an amazing job to help us engage with investors, with many critical features on par with Docsend
Adding AI capabilities is great - mostly from an investors POV i guess.
Can only support this launch, kudos to the team!
@maxcsr Wow nice to hear good feedback.
Now with some AI capabilities it should give more advancements for summarising and improving the docs before sharing.
Thanks for supporting our launch
Exciting times!
How would you compare Papermark AI's open-source model to other proprietary document assistants? Are there specific advantages to having an open-source approach?
@iuliia_sh, @mfts0, wow, I'm so impressed. I've just tried Papermark AI. It works really nice. I am gonna use it all the time! Thank you for Papermark!
@flxmgdnz
Memo case looks like interesting one, as more investors rather prefer reading quick memo rather than Pitch Deck.
