๐จ Colorful Studio is a browser-based 3D tool for creating professional photos. ๐ง Adapt, share and export final designs within minutes. ๐ผ Make use of the asset library to produce content for e-commerce, social media, or print with ease.
Hi @qudsia_ali, we are a 3D tool where you can create real photos in a browser. In Canva and Figma you are working in a 2D environment, in Colorful in a 3D environment (just like a video game)
We are in public beta as of today. So you can sign up and test it for free. Excited to see what you can come up with :)
Excited to unveil our investment in Colorful and hunt it here on ProductHunt! :-)
Colorful is a browser-based 3D tool for creating stunning product photos. But actually, โ3D toolโ makes it sound more complicated than it is. I like to think of Colorful as a virtual photo studio. Instead of spending a huge amount of time and money on professional photographers, you just choose and customize a scene (or create your own one), upload a 3D model of your product, and play around with the (virtual) light and the (virtual) camera until youโve got your perfect shot.
No 3D modeling skills required โ give it a try. :)
Thanks, @chrija for hunting us today :)
๐ Hey Product Hunt, weโre excited to finally show you what weโve been working on @Colorful!
I'm Nik, and I am one of the founders of Colorful. At Colorful we think photography should be virtual.
Working on a photo-set as you do in a Google Doc file changes how you will think about photography.
๐ง edit photo shootings anytime, anywhere.
๐ share photo shootings via a simple link
๐ scale up content production quickly
But virtual photography / 3D rendering is not accessible to everyone
๐โโ๏ธ most 3D software is hard to learn
๐ powerful desktop computers are needed for photorealistic renderings
๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ handoff & communication with the team and clients are a mess
So we decided to offload all the heavy lifting into the cloud โ๏ธ Making 3D renderings truly accessible for the first time on any computer.
To get you started quickly in 3D we built a library of ready-made photo templates and added photo props to drag into the scenes.
We are very excited to see what you are able to create in Colorful.
Share it with us on Twitter! I'll be around all day โ can't wait to hear your questions, feedback, and ideas!
๐ฃ PS: This is a Beta Release = you might find some bugs!
@cristinaibunea we have seen people using it a lot for product photography (e.g. their eCommerce stores, websites & social channels). We are excited to see what use cases the community will be coming up with.
We've been producing our content for Wakeout on a green screen, then using 3D software to render the rooms behind the models (see our website: https://wakeout.app/). The render quality of Colorful is insane! Just designed a test room on Colorful and the quality is very impressive. The limited number of objects is a factor that might keep us from switching for now, but I'm sure that will change fast. Congrats and thank you!
@pddro Good input, what did you try to build? Can you share the scene? :) Thinking about offering to upgrade for even more powerful servers that can shoulder more assets in the scene.
Happy to share the stuff weโve done so you can better gauge our use case. Can you email me? pedro@wakeout.co
Also, here's a link to the first scene I designed in colorful. It's failing to render. Is it too complex? https://studio.colorful.app/scen...
The photos really look nice and realistic! Congrats ; )
Btw, weโre launching in late May. Check out our upcoming PH page: www.producthunt.com/upcoming/eff...
Our project is called: Effecto. Itโs an app for detailed habits, health, symptoms, and meds tracking. Pretty much for everything that is related to your physical or mental health and every daily factor that can affect you.
@alan_dimmer@stefani_kovachevska this is awesome!! I wonder if we could incorporate it somehow in our visuals and new branding. Congrats on the launch @chrija !
Hey Product Hunt, we built this for you! Super hyped to see what cool shots we will make together - just write me in chat if you have questions or need help or join us on discord (http://discord.gg/qWg3fU4dnp)
Impressive tool that looks very similar to Adobe Dimension but works entirely in the browser. Well done the team for achieving such a feat. ๐
I haven't managed to save a camera position in order to generate multiple renders at once but I guess more features will come with time.
The video doesn't do it justice (though the video is rad)... you really have to try this for yourself. FREAKY FAST. I can't believe I stayed up late to make sure solidworks renders made it thru a 8 hour session... LOL
Congrats on the launch! Excited to try it.
Little UX thing I noticed - When I click 'Get Beta', it takes me to a login screen w/a small register button. It's intuitive to just throw my email and password into the boxes right away, rather than clicking register.
In terms of user signup on launch day, it would flow smoother for me if 'get beta access' took me to the register screen rather than login screen.
Super pumped to try this out! ๐
