Outflow aims to solve the problem of having multiple subscriptions and not knowing when they are renewing and how much you are paying for each. We have built the app to be intuitive and fast, so you can take control over how you are spending your money.

I bought it and I like it! It forced me to rethink about my subscriptions. I used to put everything in Soulver file but I'm counting on this to remind me of forgotten subscriptions before they renew. I'd like to quickly see more currencies (SEK) and more companies supported.
Ozzie
@gregoiregilbert Happy, you like it! I'll add the SEK currency in the next update and will continue to add more companies. Thanks for the feedback!

Also, integration with Hubdoc and Quickbooks would be cool
Kendrick Ledet
@benjaminefox seconded ๐Ÿ˜„ how are you liking QuickBooks?
Ben Fox
@kennyledet Quickbooks Online is getting much better. Still needs work but they are clearly committed to regular improvements.
Ben Fox
I'd be interested in paying for an add-on that let's me track business subscriptions separately from personal.
Ben Fox
@benjaminefox I recently did an inventory for a bank switch and we have 31 monthly, quarterly or annual subscriptions. From quickbooks to github and everything in between. Tracking is a PITA.
Ozzie
@benjaminefox Interesting idea, I'll look into it! ๐Ÿ˜€
Ivan Kovacevic
I connected three of mine gmail accounts and app didnt returned any active subscription i have...?
Ozzie
@kovacevicivan At the moment the app uses the companies that have already been added, so as that list grows the more accurate it will get, sorry about that!
Callum Flack
This was really helpful until it lost the dates on update.

Cool app. Any plans to also have an Android version. I'm asking because I was looking for a similar app in the Play Store but couldn't find one so I started building one on my own. Release it's in about two, three weeks.
Ozzie
@alincatalin At the moment, I have no plans on an Android release. Best of luck to your app!

@alincatalin Some news about your Android App ?
Ozzie
Outflow initially launched on Product Hunt over two years ago. Since then, I have had the opportunity to attend Apple's WWDC where I gained more knowledge regarding Swift and iOS. This experience inspired me to do a complete rewrite of the app. The goal of this update was to create a more functional and stable version of Outflow. This new update features a brand new interface making it more convenient for quicker viewing of all your subscriptions. Also, during the original launch, one of the most requested features was the ability for the app to find subscriptions that you may already have. The app now allows you to connect to your Gmail account to receive suggestions on what subscriptions to track. Some other features include automatic currency conversion, a today extension, more renewal frequencies and a greater importance on app stability to name a few. If you are interested in seeing all the new features, you can check out this blog post: http://outflowapp.com/blog/3.0. Fun facts: - The app is 100% written in Swift. - *Only* ~25 caffeinated chocolate bars were consumed in the making of this. - Version 3.0 marks the third major re-write of the app. If you have any questions or feedback, I would love to hear them! Ozzie

@kirkbyo_ decaf chocolate- what's the point?!
Ozzie
@passingnotes oops, that was a typo. They were definitely caffeinated haha
Menj
@kirkbyo_ any plan on releasing android version?
Levi Gleb Raskin
@kirkbyo_ is it works for ANY subscriptions? Very nice idea!
Kendrick Ledet
Nice; I had this idea long ago, glad to see you took care of it! Buying for sure, will leave a constructive review.
Ozzie
@kennyledet Thanks for checking it out!

How is this better than Truebill?
Ozzie
@ejameswill Truebill seems like a super cool product! I think Outflow differentiates itself by focusing on showing you when they are renewing while TrueBill concentrates on the cancellation of fees.
Dre Durr๐Ÿ’ก
Very Dope App.๐Ÿšฌ๐Ÿšฌ๐Ÿšฌ Can you cancel all of my subscriptions as well?
Ozzie
@dredurr thank you ๐Ÿ˜ƒand that's definitely something I have looked into, however the current version does not support it.
Jamie Turner
What are the benefits over tracking with Sheets?
Jerry Shan
@jrturner1234 I think it is not comparable since this is a mobile app. Many benefits will be like one tap to launch the app, automatic subscription detection based on the Gmail account.
Ozzie
@jrturner1234 Sheets does have the ability to do a lot of the things Outflow can do. However, I believe Outflow makes it more convenient by having the capacity to receive notifications for when they are renewing. Also, the app can help find subscriptions that you may not have even known about.

Looks fantastic. Would love to see an android version.

Looks really cool @kirkbyo_ I use Bobby at the moment, but it lacks option in frequencies of subscription. What are the frequency options on Outflow?
Ozzie
@loyersteph Hey, currently the app supports Weekly, Biweekly, Monthly, Bimonthly, Trimonthly and yearly. If these options aren't enough you can change the interval between subscriptions. So, for example, you might have something renews every 9 days you can switch the increment with the weekly category from 7 days to 9 days. Let me know if you have any other questions!
Keir Williams
How are the features compared to Bobby?
Ozzie
@keirwilliams The biggest differences at the moment is that Outflow has the ability for automatic subscription finding by connecting to your Gmail. It also has a few convenient features such as automatic currency conversion and a today extension to name a few!
Karim El-Kharraz
I feel like this is a payd version of bobby ?
Ozzie
@karimmove Outflow has been around for couple of years now. Outflow does have similar features to Bobby, however it also has a lot of convenient features that Bobby does not. Both are good apps, but it depends on what you are looking for!
Nick Frost
@kirkbyo_ why have a paid vs free to download?
Robert Biehl
Hey Ozzie, great seeing your app evolving! I have to admit I forgot to try it out after meeting you at last year's WWDC, so it's a good thing Product Hunt reminded me!
Ozzie
@robeffect haha thank you for checking it out! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
Christopher Brown
Cool idea! I like the ability of tracking weekly, monthly, and yearly totals and the currency conversion. Does the currency conversion allow for multiple currencies? Say I have Spotify Canada but everything else is in USD. Interested in your choice to make it paid vs. free. Also you're missing an "of" in your main CTA ๐Ÿ˜‰
Ozzie
@nd4spd13 It does! When you add the currency, you can select it for CAD, but in the settings, you can change your HUD currency to USD! And thank you, I missed that! Also, there is no particular reason for free vs. paid. However, I believe that 2$ for an app isn't too expensive, especially if it can help you. Although, I am currently thinking about the idea of having a free tier and a premium tier, with everyone who bought the app already on the premium level and then have the core functionality for free with premium features at a cost.
Christopher Brown
@kirkbyo_ Very cool! Wish more finance apps had the ability to do multiple currencies. And good info on the pricing. If people are paying than that's all the reason you need. Interested in seeing how a free tier works out and what features are included in free vs. premium. Good luck!
Product Pearson
Nice - this is like Deseat Me with paid subscriptions.
Ozzie
@theashtube Happy you like it!

Looking Good!
