Hello Product Hunt! We're excited to share Orchest 2.0 with you today: our modern take on building data pipelines. Over the past year we've learned a ton from our early user community and oh boy did we listen to your feedback! Building data pipelines shouldn't require a PhD or 10+ years of DevOps experience. Our goal is to bring Data Scientists and Data Analysts into the fold by making the complex parts of building and deploying data pipelines in production... disappear 🪄 Orchest brings together best-in-class Open Source projects like JupyterLab, nbconvert, Argo, BuildKit, Kubernetes to provide a seamless data pipeline development *and* deployment experience. The best part is - Orchest itself is open source too! Whether you're ETL/ELT-ing, training models, feeding dashboards, monitoring systems, querying databases or fetching from web APIs - you can get it done in Orchest fast & easily. Development 🛠️ ✅ Graphical pipeline editor ✅ Integrated Scripting & Notebook IDE ✅ Fully integrated with your Git version control system ✅ Text editor, REPL and interactive Bash Shell ✅ Multiple users ✅ Code in Python, R, Julia, JavaScript and Bash. ✅ All this in your browser 🤯 Deployment 🚀 ✅ Schedule cron jobs with a single click ✅ Automatic multi-node/cluster scaling ✅ Fully integrated logging ✅ Failure notifications (Webhook) ✅ Container image building & versioning Try out our free hosted version on cloud.orchest.io (up and running without creditcard under 1 minute) or install the Open Source project directly from GitHub. You can build anything. Thank you from the entire Orchest team - a fully distributed team with nationalities from across the globe 🌍🇳🇱🇩🇪🇮🇹🇺🇸🇸🇪🇬🇧🇹🇼🇮🇷🇪🇸.

@ricklamers been a while since we talked when I was still at speedinvest. But funny that I got the notification in my emails that you launched an v2. Got my support!

@dominik_lambersy Great to see you here! TextCortex looks amazing 😮. Really love the minimalism on your webpage, added the extension to Brave and will give it a try for a while!

Abid Ali Awan
Love the new UI and especially new features. What else is in the pipeline for the MLOps solution?
Rick Lamers
@kingabzpro thanks Abid! Glad you like the new UI. Which MLOps feature would you like to see added the most? Some of the things we're thinking about making easier: drift detection, model management/registry and endpoint deployment. Our current thinking is to work together with best in class open source projects (Evidently, MLflow, BentoML/FastAPI) to make this a smooth experience in Orchest.

Best tool for building data pipelines out there!
Rick Lamers
@rgmvisser it's true! Check the source code: https://github.com/orchest/orchest (OK I'll admit, we might be a little biased here...)
Pete Soderling
Awesome to see how far you've taken the product since our very first chat over coffee in SF in early (pre-pandemic) 2020. Congrats guys!
Rick Lamers
@petesoder I remember that coffee! Right next to Yerba Buena at The Grove. Feels like yesterday, man time flies 😂. Thanks for your continued support Pete! We wouldn't be here without you.

Congrats on the launch, awesome product!
Corné Vriends
This looks quite interesting! I am a Data Scientist at a large energy utility company in The Netherlands, although we use the cloud 99% of the time, I do like to experiment with this locally, can I also run it on my laptop?
Rick Lamers
@cavriends absolutely! Many users have to for data security reasons. We support Linux, macOS and Windows. See instructions for local installation here: https://docs.orchest.io/en/stabl...
