Growing your community is about more than just increasing your audience. In this issue of Gravity, we closely examine the topic of community growth, including aligning growth goals across teams and sharing some top tactics from community experts.
As we have built Orbit, we have discussed with countless customers why they use our tools, and the answer is almost always growth. Growth is essential to any thriving community. Growth means new members, new ideas, and new energy. But for a community to thrive, growth has to be about more than “up and to the right!”
That’s why for our second issue of Gravity, the field guide for product communities, we explore why a nuanced, human-centric view of community growth is necessary.
It’s filled with long-form articles, interviews with experts like Jana Iris, Kurt Kemple, and Adam DuVander, beautiful illustrations, and other thoughtful content.
Gravity is available in print and on the Web. Read this latest issue and let us know what you think. While you’re at it, grab a (free!) physical copy for yourself too.
There's so much that still needs to be learned about community and how it functions for new and established products. Really looking forward to diving deep into this one. The design is tremendous and shows just how much work must have been put into it. Going to grab myself a copy and take a read. Excellent work all!
Lots of great content!! I'm pretty passionate about communities, and I love things like Orbit it doing. (Community i am part of actually uses Orbit and it's been a cool way to meet other folks in the community!)
I'm super freaking stoked to finally see this released! I put a whole lotta love into this issue. I can't wait for everyone to see how this issue has evolved from the last in terms of layout and design. Creatively, I approached the art direction by asking "How would a magazine such as this, and the topics discussed, look if released during one of the 1940's / 50's World's Fairs?" The answer resulted in something truly unique and special. I hope you all enjoy! It's jammed packed full of value from experts in the field. Big thanks to all the contributors! Special shout out to @_gw and @maurice_cherry for all your help pushing this across the finish line! Stay tuned for issue #3! 😉
