✅ POLL: What do you think OpenAI are announcing today?
ICYMI: OpenAI posted a cryptic tweet yesterday, announcing a livestream for today at 10am PT. The cryptic part? They swapped the “S” for a “5”, which, of course, set off a wave of GPT-5 speculation. But this is OpenAI, and at this point, GPT-5 rumors feel like a monthly tradition.
What do you think it is?

@thinkverse lmao just saw this now!
GPT-5 is now live on the leaderboard!
Here's what they launched:
gpt-5: Designed for logic and multi-step tasks.
gpt-5-mini: A lightweight version for cost-sensitive applications.
gpt-5-nano: Optimized for speed and ideal for applications requiring low latency.
gpt-5-chat: Designed for advanced, natural, multimodal, and context-aware conversations for enterprise applications.

@stevebhow did you know?
Might be like "S" for specialist(in a few or many fields?)

@rickyguo Like a multimodal agent?
@adi_singh5 obviously not from what's been released, but at least for coding...I reckon it's much safer now to set up a half-automated easy-task targeted pipeline based on it.
The moment they dropped that "5" instead of "S", I knew the internet would explode with GPT-5 theories 😄. At this point, OpenAI could just tweet a random emoji and we’d all still build hype around it. But I get it—everyone’s eager for the next big leap. Personally, I’m more curious whether they’ll double down on agents or introduce a whole new interaction layer beyond chat. Livestreams from them always come with surprises 👀.
Clustr
Probably going to be centred around voice

Would be very exciting to see some openai hardware!
I’d bet they’re hinting at GPT-5, but with OpenAI you never really know, they love surprising us.
