Hi PH Community, We’re thrilled to share Olympian Motors with you today. Eren and I decided to pursue Olympian Motors after realizing there is a certain demand in the market for new car experiences and alternative designs. Tesla is not cool enough anymore. There are no eye-catching alternatives either – only mere copies of Tesla, or other ‘futuristic’ cars that have been pushed by legacy automakers. --- • To date, we booked 132 pre-orders for Olympian Model O1, our flagship vehicle • We will ship the first Olympian O1 vehicles in November 2022. • It took 14 years for Lucid and 12+ years for Rivian to make their first commercial shipments. --- Our goal is to solve today’s commoditized car experience, elevate low quality/comfort standards, simplify over-complicated cockpit / UX, and create a new ‘experience-first’ consumer segment in automotive. --- We prioritize: • Aesthetics over horsepower • User experience over torque • Personalization over commoditization • Silence over noise • Data privacy over data exchange • Minimalism over complication • Simplicity over 30+ buttons switches in the cockpit • AR HUD over 2D Display screens • Wood & steel over cheap industrial plastic or veneer • Sustainable & natural materials over toxic chemicals --- We have a radically minimalistic cockpit experience • Powered by the Olympian Operating System (OOS) • Enabled by augmented reality HUD, voice-assistant, head/eye tracking applications • No 2D display screens (We already have too many in our lives – cell phones, tablets, laptops) • Eliminated 80% of redundant buttons, switches, and panels in the cockpit --- We have a high-caliber and technical founding team: Hardware/software engineers, product managers, and supply-chain specialists from Apple, Qualcomm, Cisco, Google, Tesla, NIO, Ford, and Lamborghini --- You can pre-order Olympian Model O1. Use "OLYMPIAN30" for 30% off. https://olympianmotors.com/ --- We are creating the next big story in automotive. Your support will be appreciated!

@jasmine_sungu respect the bold take! I love my Tesla and remain delightfully surprised 3 years into ownership.
Eren Canarslan
@jasmine_sungu @rrhoover Hi Ryan, isn't it time to change to a better alternative? We would love to invite you to the first Olympian O1 reveal event in June. I'm confident that you will change your mind!
Ryan Hoover
@jasmine_sungu @eren_canarslan would love to check it out sometime!
Brent Alvord
@jasmine_sungu @rrhoover IMHO they're appealing to a very different segment than Tesla owners, who want the horsepower, like the optionality that comes with complexity. I think they can peacefully co-exist, depending on price point and safety rating.
Leni Neto
Not a single picture from the interior? I'd love to see the "Natural and minimalistic cockpit".
Eren Canarslan
@lenineto Hi Leni, we actually uploaded two images from the cockpit. Please scroll to the left in the images attached to this post. Thank you!
Jasmine Sungu
@lenineto Hi Leni! Please refer to the following links for your convenience. 1) bit.ly/3q5W5o7 2) bit.ly/3w70Rps Thanks!

>"prioritizing aesthetics over horsepower, user experience over torque, and simplicity." seems to contradict with >"swapping out tons of button and switches for an augmented reality HUD (heads up display) with voice-assistant and head/eye-tracking applications." I want a car that doesn't have a HUD, but has analog buttons. That doesn't have a voice-assistant, and that doesn't have eye-tracking.
Eren Canarslan
@crobertsbmw Chase, Olympian cars are exactly built for that purpose. You can activate "the full-privacy mode" and simply turn these functions off from the dashboard. Then, you have a complete 1970s retro car with a modern electric drivetrain. One of our main objectives is to eliminate invasive technologies, displays, 'always-on' assistants and data-collecting applications inside the vehicle. We want to keep it simple, classy and beautiful.
Alex Aubert
Roughly 8 months before shipping the first car, and there is not a single photo of the actual car 🤔 Highly doubtful about the timeline here... Interesting concept though.
Eren Canarslan
@alexaubert That's the core advantage of Olympian's fabless model. Not only you. but all legacy automakers and monopolies will be surprised very soon. Please reach out for if you're interested in an invitation to the first Olympian O1 reveal event in June.
Mazin Shaikh

Hi Product Hunt people! I'm the co-founder and CEO of Olympian Motors. Our dream is to build most aesthetic & minimalistic Electric Vehicles of the 21st century. We will create a new ‘experience-first’ consumer segment in the automotive industry Olympian has the first fully ‘fabless’ production model in the U.S. • No CAPEX, no in-house factory, no front R&D requirement • We leverage a 'fabless' production model and modular platform architecture. • An asset-light operation, unlike other staggering EV companies in the U.S. • Rapid GTM period (<8 months). 300% faster product-dev cycle than the U.S. average Current Status: • We are currently building prototypes for Olympian O1 (Sedan) and Model K1 (SUV) • The first Olympian O1 shipment is scheduled for November, 2022 • Our team is ready to surprise legacy automakers and monopolies We would love to get your support on this challenging and ambitious journey. Thank you, Eren

Eren Canarslan

Arttu Haho
Congrats on launching something different than typical product hunt launch! Looks really good! ?makers

Eren Canarslan

ian ray
Great to see people pushing the boundaries of what the future could look like! Tesla definitely gives off a vibe of a sci-fi future where everyone is wearing the same monochromatic, gray jump suit with boots. Where as this feels like what I would call modern retrofuturism. I really hope to see you guys at Monterey Car Week with a working prototype
Eren Canarslan
@ianthekid You nailed it! Very well said. And, yes we will be at Monterey Car Week. Definitely reach out to me before August.
Adam Sommer
These are so sick

Jasmine Sungu
@devinaji Thank you for the support, Devin!
Eren Canarslan
@devinaji Thank you, Devin!
Jordan Krueger
Has the vehicle been approved by U.S. regulators? If not, why is it being advertised as street-legal? And what process will be used to crash-test the vehicle to bolster the "safety and security" claims?
Eren Canarslan
@jordankrueger Yes, Olympian O1 is fully street-legal in the U.S. as we are planning the first commercial shipment by November 2022. Please feel free to reach out for further details.
Risna Dewi
Great concept, the designs are really cool too
