Love it! Great idea @pimcoumans! So what are your plans after this? Which direction would you want to go with OK Video? Your own OK Video stories? 😉
Pim Coumans
@woutervanlent Thanks Wouter! The plans are to slowly add features but never losing focus on or getting in the way of what this app does best: quick sequential videos. So no social components. Just get it as quickly to whatever app or service you want to share your OK Video with!

I love this app, because it allows me to make my silly videos with the least amount of time invested. Who wants to sink hours into a silly video?? Silly videos should be quick and carry energy in the moment.
Pim Coumans
It was so much fun to make this little app. It started with Tom asking on Twitter about a simple app that can create an unlimited fullscreen video sequence which apparently didn't exist. I made the prototype in a day and a week later Pasquale offered to replace all emoji buttons with Actual Graphics™ There are so many more features we're going to explore for this app going forward 😘

Just tested it out and have a few questions: It says there is an in-app purchase - though I don;t see it? I am guessing that is to get rid of the watermark? How long will the video be able to be held there in the app to have other clips added to it What is the max duration of the recording? Thanks
Tom DesLongchamp
@krishnade hi Krishna. Currently, yes it's just watermark removal, but we're working on some more features, some of which may be in-app purchases. Max recording length is as much disk space as your device has. As for how long the app retains clips, I'm actually not sure, Pim can probably answer that, but I've had it last days. Maybe depends on whether your phone or the app is restarted.
Pim Coumans
@krishnade @tomthinks Hi! As long as you don't delete the app, your recordings will be stored indefinitely

I've been using OkVideo quite intensively these last few months and I'm in love with it. I really thought some updates would come along to correct some annoying bugs and add some more functionality! Hope you guys are open sourcing the code someday as I would love to code the features I miss

Pros:

Straightforward, easy to use. Videos can be shared with any third party app

Cons:

Lacks the ability to save several instances of OkVideos... A bug sometimes corrupts the video and only keeps the sound
