I managed remote engineers in the past and having something to give more coordination in a streamlined way right in Slack makes a ton of sense. I haven't used the product but I can immediately see the glaring need giving the impending end of the pandemic and a return to a mostly hybrid world. Seems like an exciting new product with a very, very broad appeal. Congrats!
Congrats on the launch! Great product, have been using it since we started heading back to the office here in (miraculously) COVID-free Melbourne. Max has been really responsive to our feedback, great to see the product improving all the time :)
We use Officely at Impala Hotel Booking API and it's been so so useful during the various stages of lockdown and with restrictions etc.
Especially now, knowing if you can get some space in the office and who's going to be around on any given day is really simple to see, as opposed to having to do general slack posts or DMs.
Hi Everyone! Thanks for hunting us Kat!
My co-founder and I previously ran a 4-year-old hotel room booking startup called HotelFlex. In March last year we lost every single client, pretty much overnight, as COVID swept the world and we had to shut our doors and lay off the team.
After licking our wounds we started to brainstorm new ideas, we realised that offices of the future are going to be run like hotels of the past. Instead of going in every day, employees might go in 2-3 times a week, maybe less. And we thought who better to build a desk booking tool, than us?
The result is Officely. The key thing we've brought across from our hotel experience is that we have made it insanely easy to use. No one wants to sign up to yet another SaaS tool or download another app just to book a desk, right? So we've built everything within Slack. Two clicks and you're booked in.
We passionately believe hybrid work is the future. We're building the platform to manage a hybrid office and workforce and we'd love your support.
We've been using Officely for a couple of months and it has been THE BEST for getting us back to the office. So simple, but also so many awesome features. Our team love it!
Very nice app!
At the Slack community event yesterday, a couple people asked for suggestions for desk booking apps. There's definitely some interest for this type of service, and this app seems well thought out and well made!
We have replaced our excel spreadsheet booking system with Officely for capacity limiting and contact tracing purpose. It's so easy to use that everyone is on board in no time. Thanks for the great app guys!
I cannot recommend this product enough. As the Head of People Operations for a growing startup, I was desperately trying to find something that was intuitive and specific to the needs that we had. Most of the solutions out there for hoteling or office planning were built for large organizations and seemed too clunky for employees to adopt and use regularly.
Officely combines everything I was looking for with things that I didn't even know we needed. So far employees have loved it - people started using it on day one with nearly 0 training required. It has even given us back time - before teams wound up dedicating a few minutes of weekly agendas to checking on shared googledocs used to plan in-office work.
I would not be ready for us to re-open with a hybrid setup without Officely, so check it out today!
I am Head of People Ops for a small tech company and Officely has been perfect for everything we need for scheduling as well as some of the other admin-y things we need as we look to reopen the office. Being able to register for time in the office, in advance, right in Slack makes this tool invaluable. I also like the added broadcast feature as we move towards a hybrid model since it allows users to see who will be in the office tomorrow and click to register if that is a person you'd be interested in meeting with IRL.
The Health Survey questionnaire is also really helpful for tracking and exporting data. We had previously been using a google form which worked fine but users had to remember to go fill it out. Offiicely makes that super easy all in slack and reminds users to fill out the form. *Knock on Wood* we will never have to use the contact tracing feature but I could see how it would be super helpful to have those results immediately rather than having to scan excel spreadsheets and compare other reports.
I can't wait to see what features are on the horizon as the way we work continues to change.
