Hey everyone! I have talked to thousands of brands, and one thing I hear consistently is how much time it actually takes to constantly come up with new emails, social posts, blog ideas, product descriptions, etc.
So! I embarked on a journey to see if I could make something that could help with this. Mostly my goal was just to code something myself as a side project, not something I get to do very often. It was just for the pure enjoyment of building the thing.
But! I showed it to a few people, and they wanted to be able to use it, so I polished it up and here we are. The response has been incredibly positive. In my mind, instead of writing a blog post about AI, I built Octie, and I'm very much enjoying it as a content medium :)

p.s. I suggest using Octie as a brainstorming co-worker, you don't have to take all of Octie's ideas verbatim, but it can really help kick you off in the right direction.

Hey all! My Octane AI co-founder Matt Schlicht recently built a free A.I. side project that writes your marketing emails, text messages, product descriptions and more in seconds. It's focused on ecommerce, but it works for almost any type of industry.
It's called Octie -- named after our robot mascot!
We sent it out to some friends and we've been BLOWN AWAY by the reception so far. It's already written thousands of emails -- some of whom have already been sent to millions of people!
I thought the Product Hunt community would enjoy Octie. Please let him know what you think! It's still early, but it's super exciting to see the excitement brand owners have had playing around with Octie.

Just tested it out. Kind of cool to get some ideas from, but I could not just copy and paste the texts for final use.
@jsteneros I bet you copy and paste something at some point, sometimes (quite often) the copy IS really spectacular and spot on :P
This is the tool that everyone needed but they didn't know they needed it.
@benparr was generous enough to give us a preview a couple of weeks back. Complete game changer for email, SMS, quiz questions, etc.
We will definitely be using this at Tako for our clients.

Super impressed with the product. I don't know what kind of GPT-3-like AI sorcery is involved, but some of the content the AI "writes" is shockingly good. You may still have to finagle it a bit, or use it as inspiration in some case, but it does a fair job of getting you past the writer's block.
I feel like Octie is a few iterations from being friends with LaMDA and becoming sentient...
@webjoe I'm just trying to be friends with the AI so they keep me around once the singularity hits
Hey Ben and Matt, thanks for launching Octie, I will be giving a try for sure since I'm constantly looking for AI-based tools in this domain. I'm often struggling with the accuracy and the "semantic coherence" of other tools (although I know very well the complexity behind GPT-3 algorithms modeling, which I assume you use).
Email generation as well as Product Descriptions are always needed. Is there also the possibility to train the model with Custom vocabulary and terms? or are different languages available other than English? And is available a recommended size of sentences to get the highest level of accuracy and context fitting?

@giuseppe_di_nuccio Definitely considering the option to write in different languages, that would not be difficult to add at all. For custom vocabulary, can you give an example?
@mattprd The Custom Vocabulary, that is quite common feature in AI-based models, includes specific terms that you usually adopt in your context, industry, at work, etc. that are not recognized or taken in consideration by the trained machine learning model. Also Acronyms used in an industry or non-common words only used in some fields and areas.

I am in marketing and I think Octie will run me out of business soon :) Kudos on the launch, this looks really promising!
It’s been quite amazing to see how spot on Octie gets. It’s like having a creative co-worker who helps come up with ideas and unblocks writer’s block. And it’s super easy and intuitive to use!
This is cool - super helpful especially technical founders wearing marketing hat time to time.
Definitely going to try this out and see how "Human Sounding" content this generates
