We’re not just looking at portfolios—we’re evaluating how well someone communicates, takes feedback, understands product context, and collaborates cross-functionally. We evaluate soft skills via a video submission within the design application, in addition to an interview with our team, and of course monitoring engagements along the way! AI can accelerate the work, but it’s the human side that makes it land.

We secure bulk hour pricing with our designers to guarantee them consistent deal flow, and NUMI takes a commission on top. It keeps things flexible for startups and ensures designers are working on great projects without all the freelance chaos :)
