Introducing Notion AI (Alpha), your new AI assistant integrated into your Notion workspace. (1) Save time. Write faster. Let AI do the first draft. (2) A creative partner to brainstorm ideas. (3) Utilities: translation + grammar/spell + summarize.
Hey Product Hunt!
In Notion's San Francisco office, we have a portrait of computing pioneer Doug Engelbart. In his 1962 paper "Augmenting Human Intellect: A Conceptual Framework", he proposed a vision for computers to move beyond typewriters and room-sized calculators into powerful aids that solve complex human problems.
His ideas were a big reason why we built Notion. And today we're taking a step toward that vision — we're introducing Notion AI in private alpha, bringing the power of artificial intelligence right into your Notion workspace.
What you can do with Notion AI (as alpha)?
Notion AI is a writing assistant that can help you write, brainstorm, edit, summarize, and more. Consider Notion AI your partner. It augments your thinking — helping you save time or spend it more wisely.
Here are some examples of how teams and individuals can use Notion AI:
Let it tackle that first draft — the first word can often be the hardest one to write. Instead, ask Notion AI to handle your first draft about a topic and get some ideas for you to mold into something great.
Spur ideas and creativity — instantly get a list of ideas about anything. This can help you be more creative, surfacing ideas as a jumping off point (or some you wouldn't even have thought of).
Act as your hawk-eyed editor — whether it's spelling, grammar, or even translation, Notion AI catches mistakes or translates whole posts to help ensure writing is accurate and actionable.
Summarize a long meeting or document — instead of sifting through a garble of meeting notes, let Notion AI pull out the most important points and action items.
Really, Notion AI (in present form) is your teammate before, during, and after the writing process.
P.S. We are moving people off the waitlist every day, sign up to get added!
P.P.S. This is only our alpha. It'll get much better in the coming months.

Just when I thought that, as a very active Notion ambassador and one of the first Notion Certified Consultants, I more/less know what to expect from Notion's roadmap, this shows up out of the blue.
It just makes so much sense. Especially, beautifully executed in the Notion style.
Most of our startup clients are using Notion exclusively for writing in the context of knowledge management and internal comms, so I can't wait to see how we can help them move even faster and work more productively with this tech!!
I am so stoked for this. As someone with dyslexia, I need a second set of eyes for the simplest of writing. While spell check is fine, but a more detailed grammar editor is usually needed. This means I am jumping around through tools, running plugins, or enlisting people to edit my work. This saves me from all of that and in the main tool I use. Thank you Notion!
@thorms11 As this rolls out, I’d love to hear about your experience with it in regards to this aspect of it if you would be willing to share.
I suffered a traumatic brain injury two years ago on top of having inattentive ADD and autism, which is where my interest comes from with this. If it functions as one anticipates how it should- the short term consequences will be astronomical, but the potential long term effects could be... well.
I'd like to see it in action first, right? 😎
@awilder I'd 100% like to share my experiences! Coincidentally, I just started a community on discord for neurodiverse creatives. If you are interested in joining here is the link: https://discord.gg/uuUpg9E4zk
I am willing and ready to help you with the translation of the service and applications into Russian. I have experience translating games, services and applications.
+ I would be able to record broadcasts and video reviews for the Russian-speaking community. And that's a lot of people.
Don't rush to answer, think about it. You don't lose anything, but you will only gain an even larger fan base and users 😇 👌
I intend to become a part of your team and develop the Russian-speaking community in social networks. For example, in VKontakte. Because now your fan community on Notion in Vkontakte is dead and is not developing.
I have a lot of experience in this too: I am the owner of the official and largest Russian-speaking community for the game Stardew Valley
And the team and I are making great progress in development. Absolutely no investment in advertising - only high-quality and interesting content!
As an example: Stardew Valley. I translated a lot into Wiki about this game from English to Russian language. At that time there was no Russian language at all in the game Stardew Valley.
And people went for knowledge on Wiki. And it was already partially translated by me into Russian at that moment.
As a result, after a long time, when Eric Barone still added a Russian translation to the game, most of the texts were taken from the Wiki. Which I translated...
This is just a small example
