@themisty Congrats on your launch, Krishna! Thank you for letting me try it out in advance. I was absolutely hooked. I must say, making the meeting experience more gamified is a genius design I never would have imagined!

Krishna Krishna

@zaczuo Thank you Zac :) I am excited too for getting featured !

Congratulations on the launch of this product!! However, could there be potential challenges in maintaining smooth communication if the platform experiences high traffic or numerous simultaneous meetings? @themisty

Krishna Krishna

@zimbra Concurrency issue is easily fixed by scaling servers. So the bottleneck would be server expenses.

πŸ’‘ Bright idea

Interesting. What did you see as missing from Gather.Town that caused you to make this using this for everyday meetings?

My last company, @Tandem , was maybe the first "virtual office", and I tend to believe that there are two types of approaches: skeuomorphic and non-skeuomorphic.

The advantage of the skeuomorphic approach is that it's very obvious at first glance what you can do. The disadvantage is that over time it becomes very heavy-weight to use on a day-to-day basis. Have you done anything to make repeated use better and to make the app more lightweight?

Krishna Krishna

@rajiv_ayyangar Holy smokes ! @rajiv_ayyangar ji I was honestly waiting for you to comment :) as you were in the same niche. Now to answer your question, why would we just do another Gather town? The reason is simple, actually "Simplicity". Coming from Google meet, I wanted to fix the issue of overlap talking, and dormant video participants. Gather Town felt more of a permanent office than a quick meeting. As I was saying, coming from Google Meet, the idea was still to be able to join quick session, and be out. I basically put Gather on a Keto diet and made Noniliion.

@themisty interesting. You're more focused on making individual meetings or pre-scheduled meetings more collaborative? I'm excited to try out the spatial audio. In our tests, spatial audio did indeed help simultaneous talking and just generally made group conversations feel better.
Krishna Krishna

@rajiv_ayyangar Thank you :) yes right now this version the focus is neutral. Like we do our own office meetings with devs on daily basis, and they are prescheduled, so we create a room with a pre-fixed name (pro feature). We just join the same room when we want.
Spatial audio indeed is a game changer. Few people recently tried in nonilion and they were like woah this is new. But I am surprised why it didnt get popular as its quite old tech.

Lakshay Gupta

Damn! This is so cool

Krishna Krishna

@lakshay_gupta7 Yes Lakshay, and thank you for handling the multi participant host controls.

Deepanshu Goyal

Awesome space! Loved it!!

Krishna Krishna

@deepanshu_goyal3 Thank you Deepanshu, not possible without your efforts in coding the Map boundaries !

Greg Uspensky

Congrats on the launch. How do you compare with Gather?

Deepanshu Goyal

@greguspensky25Thanks a lot! While we're in the same field as Gather, Nonilion stands out for its intuitive design which is ease of use.

Krishna Krishna

@greguspensky25 Actually very very close to Gather town, our concept is inspired more by replacing Gmeet. Keeping things a bit light. Gather no doubt is packed with features, but what we found was to boost our productivity only some aspects from Gather made sense :)

Jun Shen

Looks promising for enhancing virtual meetings! Excited!πŸ˜„

Deepanshu Goyal

@shenjun Gonna be a great experience!! Do contact our support if you face any issue!

Felix Gerlach

This sounds like a much-needed refresh for virtual meetings! Does it support custom environments or themes to match different team vibes?

Lakshay Gupta

@felixgerlach Hey! Thanks for the appreciation. Currently nonilion has 4 maps to choose from and we are constantly working to add more themes and environments.

Krishna Krishna

@felixgerlach Yes !! that is exactly what we are working right at very moment, most confidently by next week we should have two new maps. One of our team members, made a system to generate boundaries faster than we can think them, so making new custom maps is also very very easy.

Desmond

Revolutionizing remote meetings! How does Nonilion handle overlapping voices to maintain natural conversation flow without chaos?

Lakshay Gupta

@desmond_ren1 Hey! Nonilion has spatial audio which means only those who are in your radius will hear you and you can hear them. Although there is a secret feature which allows one to hear everyone in the map

Krishna Krishna

@desmond_ren1 Using Spatial audio, and the fact a participant can simply walk away πŸ˜‚

Israel Hurley

Congrats on the launch! Sounds like a great solution for smoother meetings. How does it handle large groups to ensure engagement while preventing disruptions in dynamic discussions?

Lakshay Gupta

@israel_hurley Thanks a lot! Nonilion uses Livekit (built on WebRTC) for real-time audio/video communication, ensuring scalability and low-latency interactions, even in large groups.

Krishna Krishna

@israel_hurley Nonilion can handle 100+ users in one session, the idea is the space is expansive, and customizable (beta). Large groups can do their sessions in Lobby, Conference room or the garden, all of these spaces are pretty large.

Nonilion is an immersive space, More the people the better.

Launching soon!

The demo video, especially the thumbnail of the second media(video) gave me a strong flashback of the game "Hotline Miami." The top down view, the map, the vibe. If it's not an excuse to ask, did you somehow referenced the game? I'm not asking this in a negative tone. I love the vibe of Hotline Miami and would even love more to see that vibe in my meeting room

Krishna Krishna

@hyuntak_lee Awesome thank you hahahah what a nostalgia man !!! Hotline Miami...definitely was on our inspiration mood board. We will bring in more vibe to your meetings for sure !!

All the best man for your upcoming launch
