The user can use Vim mode anywhere. In text fields, any code editor, any text editor. It uses Karabiner and a custom app on top of it that handles the vim mode.

I spent a lot of time setting up Karabiner with Vim mode. This app does the setup for you and adds a customisable always on top Vim mode indicator.
