Hi everyone! I'm Eddie, an entrepreneur based in Seoul, Korea. It is quite obvious that we are getting tired of social media. Because it offers only a snapshot, everyone is sharing their happiest moments in a constant competition, ironically leaving each other more isolated and lonelier than ever. Of course, there are microblogs where you can write full stories. However, narrating through text can be a daunting task. It's about organizing thoughts, picking the precise words, and sending the true message, all of which require both skill and effort. This is why my team and I made Narrator. We are leveraging the power of AI to break down barriers of storytelling that have been preventing many from capturing and sharing their authentic experiences. Narrator is designed to offer three core values: 1. Easy βœ…: Chat and let Narrator write. It is as simple as sharing a story with a friend. 2. Authentic πŸ”: Capture true stories, thoughts, and feelings that make your life unique. 3. Lasting πŸŽ†: Keep a lifelong archive of your memories. Don’t let them fade! To be honest, Narrator still needs a lot of work. If you are interested in social apps powered by AI, please follow us and get notified on our next launches! Let's discuss about the future of human connections in the flood of AI.

@hmpark_eddie Hey everyone! I'm Kohsmos, the brain behind the backend/server/AI magic in this product. Ever find yourself lost in memories? Sometimes I'm on a solo memory trip, but other times I'm all about sharing the good stuff with someone. Double the memory fun, right? πŸ™Œ But here's the thing: my memories are scattered across different peeps. Gotta go hunting for 'em at various times, and my solo memory lane? It's got a pinch of bittersweet. Imagine if I had a buddy who's always up for memory lane strolls? Here's how I see it: I'd chat it up using the pics I snapped that day, then relish those moments later. Oh, and FYI, I'm totally convinced we're living in the AI age. Back in the day, I was all about studying AI, and now I'm riding the AI wave like a champ. An awesome AI pal to share memories with! I had this wild dream and ended up making this cool product. Let's embrace this era, daydream about the future, and weave our stories together. 🌟

@hmpark_eddie Our team also believes that the essential part of bringing AI to our everyday life is the natural and human-like behaviors. We also made alot of effort into the chatting UX so it feels more natural for the users to chat with an AI!
Eddie Park
@jackson_huge Thank you Jackson! We definitely need that luck☺️
Eddie Park
@radu_tudosescu Thanks Radu for trying it out! I would love to keep hearing from you!

@htwarthur Thanks Arthur! Really appreciate your wordsπŸ₯°

This is a simple yet very creative use of AI I have seen lately. Looks like a promising product, congratulations on the launch team!
YJ Kim
@notionmaestro Thank you for your kind words! πŸ˜€
Emilia Vicini
This looks amazing. I would love to capture every thought behind the pictures I take of my kid! Congrats @hmpark_eddie and team on the launch!
Eddie Park
@emilia_vicini We are still in progress of defining our user persona and I think what you just said can be really really helpful! Thank you Emilia!

One of those launches that you come across on Product Hunt every once in a while that leaves you awestruck. Love the product and can't wait to use this soon. Stay awesome @hmpark_eddie and team :)

I tend to go against the grain and when I post photos from my own life I do it without any explanation. Let others imagine what I'm doing, where and why. It's more mysterious that way. 😁 Plus, most people don't read all these texts under or superimposed over every Instagram photo. I actually find that annoying. It's not what Instagram was meant to be. If you want to write do it on Twitter or Facebook. On Instagram I just want to see pretty or funny pictures and videos.

I like the concept of the app and the app store page is pretty clear in what it can do. But I'm not sure you translate these capabilities on your landing page. A small Gif with a "Download App" button is not exactly what I would call converting. Or something I would even recommend for launching with on Product Hunt (as a UX guy). If I was an unsuspecting user just browsing Product Hunt, would click on "Visit Website" on your launch day, I wouldn't be instilled with a lot of confidence seeing that sparse of content on narrator.ooo. I love the aesthetic of your gif, but I would seriously think about revamping the entire landing page to include portions of the info you mentioned in your pinned comment (here on PH) and insights you are showcasing on your appstore page. I'm thinking a strong intro, a short array of USPs, a few examples from your app and an about section that talks about your goals and future plans. Designwise maybe something like Bikey does with their app landing page or a structure you could find for the time tracker app on timestwelve(dot)xyz. Just as a few pointers to showcase what I mean. Something simple and condensed that has the ability to get your users up to speed without having to browse all app stores to find out important info. As it stands right now, your landing page doesn't really tell your users anything substantial. No previews, no step by steps, no explainers or examples that your AI tools can create. From a UX perspective its not a good look or a good first impression. Given the promises of your app, I'm sure this is still Work in Progress and a planned step on your apps journey. But launching with basically no landing page and that sparse of a insight into your app is not the best strategy to be honest, to convince people to use your app. But maybe thats just me as a UX nerd.
Eddie Park
@timwldn thank you so much for the insight! This is definitely what we should work on. We have been having discussions about achieving conversions, and you clearly made a point that we were too naive with the landing page. Just woke me up! Thank you so much.
Jonas Urbonas
I absolutely love this concept, downloading the app now! If it's as good as I imagine it can be, this will be a game-changer for recording your memories
Jonas Urbonas
After playing around with it it does seem quite repetitive. After about 4 answers I am becoming annoyed because the response is always "That's great...That's fantastic...That's wonderful..." and it just repeats what I initially said followed by another question. Seems like there's some work to do when it comes to prompt engineering, but I like where this is going, will keep an eye for sure!
Eddie Park
@jonurbonas Thank you so much for trying out Jonas! You are definitely right, the prompting and the entire process of creating content needs a lot of work! We are expecting to experiment different kinds of interface as we are wondering if chat is the best way to create your stories. Feel free to throw any ideas!
Hello_Joy
Amazing!!!! The concept of having a personal biographer to turn my memories into memoirs is captivating! I love the idea of easily transforming photos into lasting stories is intriguing. Congrats on the launchπŸŽ‰
Eddie Park
@joy_eom Thank you so much Joy!
Fun Ride
@hmpark_eddie, @kohsmos and rest of the team Congrats for launching a great product. It looks nice. This app captures pics and the "feeling", "emotions" about the picture. These are very private and subtle things that everyone would like to be private. Please describe how you are currently achieving this today
YJ Kim
@fun_ride Ofcourse! We do divide 'private' and 'public' content. Whenever a user generates their private content, it is always initially set to private and the user can make it public in the feed only after they check out their content! Hope I answered your question and thank you! πŸ˜€
Roman Kungurtcev
Congrats with the launch! I really like the concept, and even now use the Instagram more like an album of photos for the future me, but always struggle with captions. First, writing it eats a lot of time; and second, there's something that I don't want to share. But it's really cool to not just have the photo, but describe feelings or the experience a bit more detailed. So when I installed Narrator, I was excited about that, expecting to see something between Instagram and Google Photos. A meaningful photo album for me, which parts I can post to Instagram or share with selected people. Let me describe my experience: 1. When I just installed the app, I saw the memoirs written by others. It's a great demo, but it pushed me off, because I was thinking about the private album. Now I was questioning if keeping things private is possible. 2. Describing the situation to an AI, and getting cheerful responses with summary and clarifying questions was an awesome experience. It was really enjoying to memorize things in this iterative way, and it actually made me feel even better for that past experience. I recognized some small details that I did not pay enough attention to. 3. At the point when I didn't have anything to add, I wrote something like "No, I think this is it" to an AI, because I was in that "conversation mood". I expected that it will close the conversation and show me the draft, but it just repeated the same response. I realized that I had to press the "Create" button in the corner, but that kinda pulled me out of the flow. 4. I was surprised that the memoir was saying "Roman was...". Expected it to be a story told from my own perspective. 5. I will briefly suggest some functions which absence I was upset with during that first session – Being able to write memoirs for groups of photos – Being able to share memoirs with specific people – Being able to edit the memoir text written by the AI – Being able to edit the layout of the text on the photos (now it's hard to read) I wish you good luck with this product, and hope that my feedback helps :)
Eddie Park
@kungurtsev Roman! This is just amazing. You just summarized the very concerns and directions we are considering about. I would love to keep connecting with you and let you know our next moves.
Aditi Rao
This is an incredible idea Eddie! I'm surely tired of the sugarcoating in prevalent social media platforms, and having the constant pressure to keep up with appearances. How is the privacy on a user secured on Narrator? are the memoirs meant to be shared on a platform, where you can connect with friends?
Eddie Park
@aditi_rao1 Thank you Aditi for your support! You can check our privacy terms at our site https://narrator.ooo/. With connecting friends, we have the feature on our product backlog, but we are still considering when to implement as we are not yet convinced this is the product that the user want! Hope we can make our way to it : )
Dennis Aronov
A very cool idea! How do you plan to further improve the product?
YJ Kim
@dennis_aronov Hello Dennis! I'm one of the makers of narrator, and thank you for you attention😊 We do have a lot in mind for improvement, but we will finalize our decisions based on analytics. Some major improvements we must work on is definitely the naturalness of chatting with an AI. Seems like narrator's chatting is overly enthusiastic and optimistic most of the time πŸ˜‚. Also we are getting our heads together to figure out a way for a more 'wow'ing content resulted from the chat!
Eddie Park
@dennis_aronov Thank you Dennis! It’s nice to see you here☺️ Let’s keep connecting!
Shray Goel
Great app! Good luck with the launch - just a quick piece of feedback - it seems the word "remember" is mis-spelled on your landing page. As a fellow AI founder - I hope that you succeed!
Eddie Park
@shraygoel_ Oops! Thank you for letting us know☺️
Nikhil
Hi @hmpark_eddie the way you used AI for using it for memories is awesome. I love what you are building and would like to help you in building it a perfect product. I'm interesting in working with your marketing team and is open to discussion as per your availability. I'm based out of India. Let Narrator narrate the memories of us building it :)
Eddie Park
@sid11 Thanks Sid! We are actually a team of three and there is no marketing team right now. But we will make sure to let everyone know when it’s time for recruiting :)
Jimin Park
Very cool idea! I often struggle with finding the motivation to arrange my photos, and this often leads to regret later on when I realize I've forgotten the details of the memories captured.
YJ Kim
@rightavenues_jmp We've all been there haha, Thank you Jimin! 😊😊
Jacky Pan
I've always believed in the power of storytelling and self-reflection. Narrator seems like the perfect partner for anyone looking to turn their precious photographs into meaningful memoirs.

Nidhi Keshri
Hey, I liked the idea of the app and wanted to give it a try. Yesterday, I tried out the app. As I was unable to sign up using my previous username, I had to create a new account every time. Furthermore, the app does not allow me to post a picture of my choice; instead, the picture is pre-selected. There is also a problem with the chat function. Plus, it is too time-consuming. I assume it is because it was not functioning properly. What should I do to at least try the product? By the way, I have updated the app today.
Nidhi Keshri
It's amazing. I finally tried the app. The app asks a lot of questions, providing a fresh perspective on a regular picture. I was amazed when I saw the output. I just hope I can sign up using the same username every time. It would be great to store all of my pictures in one place.
Eddie Park
@nidhi_keshri Hey Nidhi! Thank you so much for trying out! You can actually signin using the same username, and store them on your profile. Let me know if there's anything that is confusing!
Eddie Park

Liu Wing Sang Vincent
great idea. I think in general longer form content is more meaningful
YJ Kim
@liuwingsangvin1 Thank you Vincent! Looking forward to your launch as well πŸ˜€
Eddie Park
@liuwingsangvin1 I agree! However one of our concerns is that people are getting used to shorter and shorter content. What do you think?
Maria Loleyt
This is amazing and very emotional. I will use it for sure! Congrats on this great launch!!
