can I do a meta search for a show across all channels? and the big one for me which nobody has yet done - can it remember my favourite shows (across all channels) and remind me when new seasons are out?
Habib
@steveprocter Hey Steve, great questions. For your first question the answer is yes you should be able to search for a show and it'll show you which streaming services has it. For your second question, that functionality is on our roadmap for users to be notified when new seasons or episodes of their favorite shows become available. Let me know if you have any additional questions. Cheers

Nice idea. Check out binged.com (I think this is India focussed though) and justwatch.com for inspiration! I think SEO will be critical for users to discover you as I think the default behavior will be to search with something like <> Streaming or <> OTT etc. Ranking high for such keywords will really help in acquisition. That was how I discovered both of the platforms above. Of course, you will need some differentiation too to hook users / have high retention!

Good job! I think you should make a smoother UX, but it's a very nice shot :) keep doing!

@benoit_chambon thanks Benoit. Out of curiosity, do you have a specific example of part of product or dashboard that you think would benefit from a much smoother UX? If not totally cool, just curious on any additional feedback. Cheers

@habib_kamara3 typically, don't follow the YouTube example ;) But Disney+ is pretty cool, for instance . Neumorphism is very trendy :)
Habib
@benoit_chambon yep 100% agree, Disney has the best UI across all streaming platforms. In fact we sort of slightly model our basic content design layout similar to Disney. Outside of the UX, if you had to name two more things that are important to you in a streaming guide, what would they be?
Benoit Chambon
@habib_kamara3 fast access to the main info + a small extract of the video activated by a roll-hover ;)
Benoit Chambon
@habib_kamara3 plus, maybe you should provide the availability period of the movie/serie on each platform?

Hey guys, happy to launch this product on Product Hunt today. Full transparency though, this entire web app product launched here today is fully a test product to gather some research data/insights. Though that doesn't mean it's not functional. it is 100% functional and no major bugs, but if you think it's missing a "major concept or features" then chances are we didn't include that feature because its a resources-intensive feature to include on this test product - but we may have plan to include it on the final product later. No onto the reason for building the product... If you ask 10 different people which streaming service is the best, you might get up to 10 different answers (personally, I think it’s HBO Max). But one thing that everyone agrees on is that it is incredibly hard to find something to watch quickly these days. And even though there a couple of products in this space that attempt to solve this problem, in my humble opinion, most or all of them fall into the exact same trap: throwing an overwhelming number of content and filters in your face so you can spend endless hours clicking through so many different toggles and filters just to be able to find one good thing to watch. So when I decided to build My Streaming Guide, instead of designing it like all the other streaming services and apps, I decided to do the complete opposite, by making it incredibly simple and clean so that you can easily see what is the best content available across every streaming service. Again as mentioned, this is a beta product and our main goal is to gather user/data insights from it so we can eventually build a streaming guide that's 10X better than this, so please don't mind any minor bugs you might encounter while playing with this product😊. Looking forward to all your feedback

This is actually a smart idea
