There is a lot of great content in podcasts, but it's hard to remember it all or even take notes. Listener is a game-changing podcast listening experience, with the ability to save+transcribe any podcast moment into text (+ a beautiful UI) πŸŽ™ ️✍️

Incredible app! I just started listening to podcasts on it and love how intuitive it is. Especially love the +3-3second adjustment for when I didn't get just the right clip.

@david_salib it's an amazing app, but the problem is I was using another podcast app, it has an OPML export option, but moment cant import OPML

Congrats on the launch! Definitely a problem worth solving. I currently use Apple Podcasts, but I'm willing to switch to Spotify podcasts just to be able to try Listener. Is there a way to import all my podcasts from Apple to Spotify?
David Salib
@loslivs thanks! You actually don't need Spotify to use Listener, we just integrated Spotify to make it easier to switch :) We looked into importing from Apple, but they don't have an API to do this yet. Overall, Listener is a fully standalone podcast app πŸ‘πŸΌ

Thanks for clarifying @david_salib! I guess I have no choice but to suck it up and import my podcasts manually when I have the time. Here's an unsolicited feature idea. My current podcast note-taking process on the go usually involves me pausing after an insight and using my Iphone's keyboard dictation feature to input my interpretation of the insight in my own words into a note on my Evernote app. I believe there is a learning benefit to explaining a concept that you're trying to make it stick in your own words. What would be really awesome would be if I could both transcribe and save the original podcast moment along with my explanation of the concept on Listener. Hope that makes sense haha!

@loslivs Appreciate the effort for trying Listener out! Hope you enjoy it :) Great idea, I had a very similar process to you before Listener! We want to build out the option add notes to transcriptions soon, stay tuned πŸ™πŸΌ We're also planning on adding a feature to export all the transcriptions to another app (for now, each transcription can be shared individually) πŸ‘πŸΌ

It's rare to find these days a new service that's well designed and highly functional. Made this my new daily driver for podcasts, congrats on the launch!

Can I use this with PocketCasts? Or would I be forced to switch entirely to Momento to create podcast snippets?

Hey Product Hunt πŸ‘‹πŸΌ Excited to share an app that we have wanted to build for a while! We listen to a lot of podcasts and often want to write down a great point to remember for later. Now, using Listener, you can listen to any podcast and tap a button to save up to 45sec of what you just heard into text! It's really helpful to go back to an episode and see all the best quotes/moments saved for you. Looking forward to chatting in the comments :)

@david_salib This is pretty nice! What service are you using to find podcasts?
David Salib
@dan77499721 thank you! We've built our own infrastructure that ingests different services. Generally, iTunes, Spotify, and ListenNotes all currently provide APIs for podcasts
