@oligardner Thanks for your feedback Oli! This was very much the same boat that Larry was in about 8 months ago. Then Clubhouse came around and the only way to keep in touch with people after the learning and networking sessions were over was via Instagram. Connecting your relationships from other platforms to Instagram where you can stay in touch and DM was the transformative moment for Larry and all of us at MobileMonkey. Instagram wasn't as scalable before the messaging API that released to GA in June. Now with InstaChamp there's so much you can do to leverage engagement and Instagram DMs.

I understand that the wording of the automated messages and the logic for triggering them will have to be performed manually, right? Do you have plans to start using AI at some point, either to help with the wording (e.g., automatically generating variations around the default message, so that it sounds less robotic) or to help with the logic, or both?

@christian_schierenbeck Hi Christian! Thanks so much for the comment and your insights are right on track.
We do use some machine learning and not everything has to be exact match, but we find (for now at least) that exact match produces better results.
One thing that really helps is allowing folks to "choose your own journey" with menu-based chatbots that use buttons. Here's an example use case from @TheInstagramExpert https://mobilemonkey.com/blog/in...

In the launch email it said it is available for accounts 1k - 100k but when I go to use it there is a limitation that says only 10k and above. Is that supposed to change anytime soon or is it still a 10k limit?
@jeremy_r_wells Hi Jeremy! Thank you for letting us know. We were told by Facebook that today eligibility would open up to all accounts with over 1K followers and less than 100K followers.
I'll see where that stands, but I assure you you'll have access within the next 24 hours, barring an unexpected occurrence on Facebook's side of things.

@jeremy_r_wells Quick update, I just learned that with the first rollout to eligible users with 10K to 100K Followers, it took about 24 hours to go into full effect for everyone. Our estimate is that you and anyone with 1K to 100K followers will be all set by tomorrow morning! Exciting!

@alex_terentiev I'd say easy and intuitive. You can even add your own keywords that will trigger post comments and DMs.
@alex_terentiev Pretty accurate, yes. The key difference is that we partner with Instagram, so none of these automations will get your account banned or generate fake followers. The tools are solely focused on both generating more organic engagement (which is what Instagram's algorithm loves) and giving larger accounts the ability to respond to all of their incoming DMs.

This unlocks so much potential for businesses! I would love to explore this with our magazine brands. I have a question, as well — with a large audience, how many messages can you send per day? Or is it limitless?
@kristi_kellogg Hi Kristi! Thanks so much for comment and question. We have some clients doing well over 100K messages per week. I may need to get back to you on whether there's an actual limit or not...but I do know that send limits with Instagram can be exceeded by using InstaChamp.

Instagram finally approved a solution for automating DMs and DM automation turns Instagram into a direct response marketing machine. Love the ease of setting up these Instagram DM automations - grows followers and engagement and lead capture... it's the best thing to happen to Instagram for marketers in years!
Been using this since the beta and currently sending 300k messages all through IG with it- it's been great!!

@rubenwolff they were. 2 years ago called direct hereof. To which Facebook ripped their code based and then created an API for it, that now companies like this use :)
@rubenwolff We actually partnered with Facebook/Instagram on this, so the reason it hasn't existed is because previously that API access wasn't available to anyone and Instagram would have likely shut down any tools attempting these automations otherwise.

This product is a game changer for Instagram. What I like is it's ease of use on mobile and that it's an officially approved by Instagram. It's so easy to build a list right inside your dm's. The team behind Instachamp is amazing!

I am familiar with MobileMonkey for Facebook, it worked well for me. I am wondering if it's the same on Instagram, if yes, should be great for marketers to build the community and generate leads.

I've been using MobileMonkey for Instagram DM automation for a couple of months (yes, I was a lucky beta tester, approved by IG) and it's changed the way I do business. I'm getting 50 webinar registrations a day using it and also responding to 100s of messages. It's actually saved the work of one full time VA, who is now using that time better elsewhere!
