This basically replaces Dribbble searches for me. We already create moodboards for clients, and it's a pain to source all the design inspiration. This just centralizes it all to one site and even lets me save stuff to find later.

Pros:

Animations are super easy to preview and search

Cons:

No web apps?

Inspiration is such a massive part of the design process. Animations for apps are also super difficult to find online and it's a pain to download the app and record the screen to share with a dev or a designer. Amazing to see this finally come to life. My team at SoFriendly helped @maitrikkataria record and screenshot a lot of these apps so it's so cool to see them on the site!

@itsthisjustin Thank you for playing a vital role in the making, Justin! :)

Very cool! As a future feature, it'd be useful if I could provide a list with elements I want on the page and the software would suggest me a few nice layouts (which it aggregates from existing apps/some hybrid of them).

@zelena Absolutely Elena! That's the plan. I'm glad you liked it. Thank you! 😊

That's a decent gallery of app designs! I would like to publish an interview about your Mobile Patterns project at https://startupradius.com/ at no cost at all - please fill the form on the website, or PM at paul@startupradius.com

Hello Product Hunters, Let me begin with thanking @chrismessina for hunting Mobile Patterns. It was in 2012 that Mobile Patterns was first presented to the design community with an aim to introduce the most efficient and innovative UX trends. 4 years of curating the gallery and building a hub of over 20,000 designers it became a source of inspiration for the key players in the design process. However, in 2016, I began my research to enhance Mobile Patterns. After having interviewed more than 500 professionals, I observed a gap between the static images and the designers’ imagination. Hence, to narrow this gap I re-engineered the website with two new key features: 1. Hover over Videos & GIFs to witness micro-interactions & UX flows come alive 2. Top Search Bar for swift results. Come, tell us what you like about MOBILE PATTERNS, and how we can become your all-inclusive design vault! We are excited to hear from you!

A common issue I'd have in our creative process is trying to show clients how a design, function, or animation works. It's tough to convey that with just words. However, now with such a large library of content to pick from it's easier than ever to find the perfect photo/video to demonstrate your idea.

Pros:

Super helpful in showing clients ideas/inspiration

Cons:

None

Great product indeed. As a designer, I used to hunt for a product like from long where I could see micro-interactions of various apps and get inspiration from them. Thank you @maitrikkataria for making it more awesome & @chrismessina for sharing this wonderful product. Simply loved it!

@sanjaymakasana I'm glad you found Mobile Patterns useful, Sanjay. :) Thank you!

Pros: easy to use and definitely help people with less design experiences or boot-scrapping founders. Questions: how will the web application work here? How did you classify the gallery items and decide the good ones for a particular area? ALso, how can we sign up? Amazing product!!!
