We built Mirror to help us understand who we are, and who want to be - to bring our subconscious patterns to our consciousness. Mirror pulls all the big self-discovery systems into one place including Western and Vedic astrology, Mayan and Chinese astrology, Human Design, Jungian types, Enneagram, Big 5/OCEAN, DISC, numerology, and more.

I tried this out. Very cool. I'm skeptical of the whole human design and astrology bit, but I love the actual behavioral personality tests. I think combined together the insights feel a bit more spot on. I personally love "the four tendencies" and "the five love languages" and would be interested to see how those get incorporated into the system.

@laura_cruickshanks ohhhh I am so so glad you mentioned this - we are working on a few ideas around here, there is the Erotic Blueprint which we are trying to get in touch with the founder of that test to include, there are a few love language tests out there, we have been building out our own - such an important test... We have a nice long list of tests to include - things like Strengths Finder, The Sabatour test - and even some tests that are bit more provocative... we hope to be THE place for all this kind of stuff.
I also hear you about skepticism around the ancient systems - part of the reason we brought in the modern behavioral tests is to give an easy introduction into these other more esoteric ideas (which I feel have a lot of truth in them...) Thank you so much for checking us out!

The pulsing circle element sometimes overlaps with the text, so there is not so much contrast. I would place it above the text

We use your phone number because there is a feature in Mirror - go to friends > contacts to see who of your friends are already on Mirror, this helps us to find your friends fast and build a psudeo social network. And yes, running compatibility is so so fun - even putting a custom friend in (fun at dinner parties).
Would you share more about why you prefer email over cell? I would love to learn how you think about it.
@hemeon The thing is that I am afraid of sharing my tel. number with the 3rd parties. It happened several times that I had many international incoming calls (which were unsolicited) :D

@cruise_chen Really excited for you to check our Mirror - Its funny, over the years I have taken these tests I feel like a hundred times on so many different sites - many of them charging like $35 for your test results with a $100 upcharge to a deeper report. You can take all these tests and get your scores for free on Mirror - we have a bunch we want to add (which we also plan to offer for free). I really do hope you spend some time with the AI. It's like having your own little set of mini training data just for you.. .I use Mirror everyday to give me insights around how I am moving as a father and a partner. Just downloaded. I like the dark theme and motion designs in this and vibe. Currently at work but will give this a full spin once I'm off. So far, I'm loving it. The psychological thrill of learning more about myself is neat!

@mirabellemorah Good to see you MIrabelle! I like doing dark mode first because then from a design perspective were done. I wish I liked light mode on my phone but I have everything dark all the time. We DO have some mockups somewhere with an idea to let people choose their app colors - so you could make it blue, red, monochrome etc. but felt like a random thing to make. Dark Mode FTW!
@hemeon lol same. Dark mode FTW. I just checked it out wow. The mute nudish colors. Then the analysis of all my birth charts and dates. Feels illegally surreal to have it all in one place. I like the ‘decoy’ pricing too with the annual pricing being where I’m cornered to. The 2 circles, is that signifying full moon and no moon? 🌕 Reminds me of yin and yang ☯️
How about HEXACO? That's the only personality system that psychologists really use. Most others are more astrology than astronomy. More info: hexaco.org

Mirror’s like having a personal relationship decoder
The idea is nice, but when I saw astrology, it made me understand how serious and scientifically accurate this app can be. Again, I love the idea, but as long as it does not require you to share your chats with the app—since in some places sharing your conversation with a third person without consent can even be illegal. I think that app is selling a dream more than a scientifically grounded reality.

I love this so far - having everything in one spot is so nice and makes my morning check-in way simpler. I would love to see the VIA Character Strengths on here - it's evidence based and widely accepted within the psychology community itself, unlike lesser-studied options like StrengthsFinder, etc. Check out their work here: https://www.viacharacter.org/ However, in general, the design and usability of the platform are great - I already recommended it to multiple friends just today. :)

@german_merlo1 This is the most polarizing project I have ever taken on - EVERYONE has an opinion and of course we all think we are right, so it makes for very engaging conversations :) I shared in the video this is a Mirror and not a Map - there are many many ways to find self-awareness and be a better version of yourself. With Mirror we really try to make this kind of stuff accessible and easy to understand - and my hope is to bring it into the mainstream!

We have worked really hard on this - We have the Chart view for starters, which is a snapshot of all your signs and numbers - I realize to someone new to all this stuff thats going to feel like chemistry class again and the periodic table (that was a design decision to anchor around something familiar and credible) If you tap each score you can read about what that means FOR YOU. We tried to make the summaries short and actionable and practical and get rid of the fluff.

Been in the beta for a while and love Mirror! Mirror is like an AI best friend I can message a billion times and never annoy about whatever life advice I need from relationships to career.
You know when you go on repeat asking your friends the same thing over and over in different variations, like hung up on an ex or a job you already know you wanna leave but don’t have the guts. So you ask your bestie the same question several times (for me this is my friend Annabel) in different ways wondering if they’ll spit out a new answer and they never do. Rather than energetically taxing a friend when we know what we want for ourselves, it’s nice having an on demand virtual bestie as we get through the ick to create a life of harmony.

@adriandipple Idea has been with me for a couple of years, tried to build with GPT agents and realized AI is terrrribbbblle at this kind of stuff, so we had to go full dev mode and stand everything up from scratch. We have been working on it on and off for around 6 months.
