Hola Product Hunt! I’m Omar Olaes, the creator of AntiPlaylist—a unique radio experience built out of my frustration with platforms like Spotify, NTS, etc. As someone who thrives on discovering random, unexpected music, I wanted to create something that would help foster creativity through serendipitous listening. AntiPlaylist is a product I developed in just a week using the tools: Next.js, Supabase, YouTube, Perplexity, and OpenAI for curating and fetching. It’s all about breaking away from curated playlists and algorithmic suggestions, giving you a truly random musical journey. What’s next? I plan to enhance the app with more features, adding songs to genres, improving data collection, and expanding to more music genres. I’d love for you to give it a try and share your thoughts! I’m here to answer any questions. Thanks for checking out AntiPlaylist. Have an awesome day!

@omarolaes Sounds fantastic! How about using story chaining for recommendations, where each song connects to the previous one through mood or genre? That way, the randomness stays engaging without relying on algorithms : )

@tonyabracadabra Nice idea! How was your experience with randomness? Was it too abrupt or did it feel refreshing? I'll try to insert palate cleansers between too opposite styles. But would love to maintain the contrast of randomness. Thanks a lot for your comment!

Congrats on the launch, @omarolaes! How do you decide the "random" music? Is it using a mix of genres based on mood or just picking tracks from less known artists across genres?
Omar Olaes
@ashitvora Thanks! Genres are randomly selected and curated, then when a user plays, it is oscillating between rare and popular style. How was your experience with chaos? :) Thanks for your comment!

I love the idea of stumbling upon new tunes without the usual algorithm traps. Its refreshing to think of music discovery as an adventure.
Sounds amazing—such a fun way to break free from predictable playlists and stumble upon truly random music. Can’t believe you built it in just a week! Excited to see how it evolves. And congrats on launching something so unique!
