@mikestaub today's launch is about joint accounts! We only had individual accounts up to today, and now you can open a joint account or convert your existing individual account to a joint one.
I'm probably biased (designer at Mercury) but I truly love using Mercury Personal. It's easy to move money around, target funds for savings at competitive rates, and the newly minted Joint Accounts make it even easier for my wife and I to access all our finances in one place.
Mercury is one of those rare products that makes you realize that literally every other product in the category is garbage. I know that sounds harsh, but think back to the iPhone introduction. It just made every stupid touchscreen phone and T9 flip phone look exactly as bad as they were. That's Mercury for banking.
I use Mercury for two businesses, and I could write 1000 words about how much I love it, but I'll spare you. Now that they have joint personal accounts, it's only a matter of time before I move my personal accounts over.
PS, I used to work in innovation / design consulting, and I've been telling banks to implement a percentage-based allocation/rule for 10 years. (Salaried bank employees just don't get why self-employed people with variable incomes have a hard time saving the correct amount for taxes.) When I saw that feature in Mercury I practically cried tears of joy.
Congrats on the launch, @likuev , @jdsimcoe and team!
@thinkinsysdev there's much more than most traditional banking product offer.
With free domestic wires, multi-user access and controls, physical and virtual cards, ability to open multiple bank accounts, auto-transfer rules and a high-yield savings account, it's a pretty good deal for $240 a year.
