@joshkerr Ha! So they do! Plenty of room for more BrewBot's. There would be a bigger problem if we had a directly competing product. The future of our product offerings should look different. Thanks for the heads up!
@nothinggrinder I'm not an attorney so take this with a grain of salt, but I think that companies need to defend their trademarks otherwise they risk losing them. So even though you aren't building a competing product, they might lose their right to the trademark if you use the mark. Maybe someone else more knowledgeable could comment on it. Its an unnecessary risk in my opinion.
@joshkerr Appreciate your comment, however, this is the law as it stands: Yes, you can have a company with exactly the same name. But, only if your business is not in the same "class" of business as the other company(s). Looking at a trademark search for "Virgin" (Trademark search at USPTO) there are 829 current and past trademarks that use this word.
@bentossell Howdy! It delivers beer! The registration is admittedly clunky, you'll need 3 things for this to be amazing. 1. A NimbleChat Account, 2. A Delivery.com Account, 3. Live in NYC - People are buying beer, promise! :) Thanks for taking a look! We just shipped yesterday beta styles! We'll keep smoothing things out and put together some documentation very shortly!
A couple of questions:
1. Who is delivering your products to consumers? Are they licensed to deliver alcohol? Contractors?
2. Outside of your chatbot experience, how does this service differentiate from OD alcohol delivery services like Drizly, Saucey and Thirstie?
@cleggskie Howdy! Our delivery partner is Delivery.com at the moment and they are completely licensed. Our differentiation comes as the bot grows. It is always learning how to interact with people who want to buy beer. So, as it grows it becomes more human like. We've just launched v4, try it out!
@cleggskie I was talking about growing engagements, we are slow growing but growing so indeed the A.I. gets better the more it interacts with humans. Have a shot! BrewBot is pretty smart at this point.
