MBCompass new release v1.1.9 with breaking features and improvements.

Hello forks, I'm excited to announce that MBCompass v1.1.9 gonna release this week with breaking changes and improvements like:

New features:

  • Implemented the Settings screen for setting preferences, like changing themes, about pages, and more coming soon.

  • Added Sensor status state on the top app bar with an alert dialog to notify of the compass accuracy changes, with instructions to calibrate it.

Existing fixes (Improvements):

  • Map Current Location arrow poor visibility with new custom icons.

  • Added the current location button to explicitly move to the user's current location on the map.

  • Fix MapView performance issues and orientation.

  • Edge-to-edge fix for navigation bar.

Orientation bug fix worked for me, but the map still drifts slightly when moving fast.

@michael_t_brown Fetching the current location using GPS takes some time, especially indoors, which might be the problem. But the new version may resolve your issue because it contains a lot of map improvements, like centering the map automatically on location when the user is driving or moving fast.
