First of all, let me tell you how exciting this all is. You guys have NAILED the features on this one. I've been in the music streaming business for 4 years now and NOTHING has come out yet nowhere near what you guys are doing. FINALLY!
I had a question about some technicalities. I'm assuming that royalty splits automation is done on the blockchain, whit smart contracts on ethereum wallets? Am I mistaken? Also, can anyone go a bit deeper on royalty payments? What's your PPS (pay per stream), and how is that covered if it's a subscription free, no ads platform? How about the get paid weekly feature? Also on the blockchain?

@antonio_talarico Hey, currently we don't distribute royalties or have a pay per stream model. Instead, we give artists the tools to monetize their content by selling goods/services through their own shop, receiving donations from fans, or by charging fans a monthly subscription fee to join their artist club to get access to behind the scenes content, work in progress tracks, discounts in their shop, and more. We just charge a 10% fee on transactions made on the platform
@aidan_cappello Hey! Thanks for letting me know. I've had a chat with Paul on this and went into details with him. I love the artist club feature and think it's amazing that the platform really makes sure to monetise the artists careers. Still, royalties are a big part of streaming and fairness to the artists. I know it's a headache, but there are ways to do so without losing your independence. It also raises your value proposition 3x. I've sent an email to Paul about it. I’ve been looking for a better alternative than SoundCloud because Sound Cloud is garbage. Once I found this app it have everything a music artist would want and is even suitable for general music listeners. Matter should really start pushing marketing promotion! The only thing that app is missing is the people!
matter is such a great platform to express yourself! i’d love to see it blow up. there’s so many great features and it caters to any music lover! definitely check it out!!
The platform is a great idea and has huge potential, but the community is oversaturated with 15-18 year old ill-talented trap producers. Matter needs to prioritize and promote the artists with talent rather than giving less talented artists the illusion that their music is actually good
