I try to avoid cliches and overly used marketing terms in my communication, especially in the Product Hunt newsletter... unless they're used ironically. 😀 @m_cullen @harrisroberts, any plans to introduce a Chrome extension, similar to Grammarly?

Hello Product Hunters, From startups and Fortune 500 companies, I have found that jargon is a serious problem. We created the tool to help writers improve their latest email, blog post, report, proposal, or other business document. Jargon can cause the reader to ignore or incorrectly understand important business communications. The Jargon Grader instantly checks your text against a curated list of over 700 jargon words and phrases. Remember that context is critical. Make sure to manually review any flagged jargon phrases. Only because it is flagged doesn't mean it needs to be removed! Go ahead and check a recent document. We would love to hear your feedback!

This is awesome! Question: Does your list of jargon include cliches? Can a user add their own list of terms to avoid that can be scanned? I've wanted a cliche scanner since my first paid job as a writer

@carmeldea It does include some of the worst cliches but not all of them. Right now you can't upload your own list of words, but we will periodically update the database. Let me know if there are any that you think should be added.
