Mandrake - The AI assistant you call on the phone

Funny enough, the idea for Mandrake was actually conceived of after I tried to teach my 83-year old grandmother how to use ChatGPT. I bought her a laptop, made her an account, but she had constant trouble with the interface - and would call me to come over and help (sort of defeating the purpose). I got to work setting up a simple phone number she could call and speak with a conversational AI agent on, and she liked the first iteration - but asked if it was possible for it to text her notes on their calls since it talked fast. So, we built out the notes feature. Then something strange happened. My cofounder and I found ourselves actually using Mandrake over other AI products in our workflows. Initially we would just call him in the car to flesh out ideas and play around, but it soon evolved to something more. We were calling Mandrake doing the dishes, watching kids, working out, shopping - and pretty soon we were both calling Mandrake while we were doing other work. Something just clicked. You see, it's hard to open an app. Well, no. It's not physically hard. But it's a flow-breaker. Millions of people like SiriusXM despite streaming because you turn on your car and get music, maybe clicking a physical button here and there to change the station or adjust the volume. And people love Mandrake because it's as simple as making a phone call.
