Hello there! 👋 I'm Reza, the creator of Magic Shortcut. I'm thrilled to introduce Magic Shortcut, a productivity tool designed to streamline your workflow by enabling you to create programmable keyboard shortcuts. As a software engineer, I frequently work with code snippets to streamline my coding process and save time by eliminating repetitive typing. However, I noticed that this functionality is limited to code editors. I envisioned something even more powerful—an all-encompassing snippet tool that not only works across all applications but also offers additional functionalities beyond simple snippet actions. That's why I decided to develop my own solution, a versatile shortcut tool that seamlessly integrates with any application. At first, I created this tool for my own use. However, as I experienced its benefits, I realized it could also benefit others. That's why I developed it into a dedicated app, added more features, and polished it to create Magic Shortcut. Magic Shortcut offers support for five types of shortcuts: 1️⃣ Plain text → Simple text expander 2️⃣ Formatted text → Rich text format text/document (MS Word) 3️⃣ Code snippet → Multi-platform code snippets 4️⃣ Python script → Execute python script 5️⃣ Shell command → Run CMD command Magic Shortcut is free to use and operates entirely offline, no data or information is collected from you. Your privacy and security are maintained, with your information kept private and secure. Magic Shortcut is currently in beta, and I highly value any feedback you can provide to help me improve Magic Shortcut. Your input is invaluable.

Upvoted! Boosting productivity by automating the mundane? That's music to the ears in a world where time is precious. Tailoring shortcuts that work across any app could seriously revamp the way we interact with our digital environments. It's like giving superpowers to keyboard warriors. And the bridge from simple text expansion to full-on Python-scripted automations? That's versatility right there. just want to ask how user-friendly is the interface for those who might not be code-savvy? And for the pros, how granular can the Python integrations get? May the workflows be ever in your favor. ⌨️🚀🔧

@aman_wen Thank youu! Yes, we're making the interface as user-friendly as possible for non-tech-savvy people, and we're continuously working on improving it based on feedback. Regarding Python shortcuts, its currently supports almost all standard libraries, and we've also added several external libraries for automations such as pyautogui, selenium, requests, etc.

Magic Shortcut sounds like a great tool for boosting productivity! I'm curious, how does Magic Shortcut handle security and privacy concerns when executing Python scripts or shell commands? It's reassuring to know that privacy and security are prioritized, but I'd love to hear more about the safeguards in place to protect users' data and systems.

@r_martirosyan Great to hear that from you! Security and privacy are top priorities for us. We're currently working on implementing a security mechanism that will alert users if they're handling any system commands or scripts that pose a risk. Hopefully, it'll be available soon!
