On Lybrum you can create public and private book clubs on any available book, where you can share anything you'd like about them. It could be used by anybody that wants to share the experience of reading a book *together*: with your friends, colleagues and family.

you should have gathered at least a small community first, before the PH launch. as a new user, I get the feeling that nobody's really around, and because there won't be people writing in any book club, I'll soon leave it forever. ^^ that's the feeling. Hopefully this will live on and get traction. It's really promising as an idea and even as a platform. Too bad there's nobody to nerd out with

Hi @florin_muresan. I really appreciate your feedback on this. And you are right, I had the wishful thinking to build the community through this launch (and maybe, slowly, it may happen), but this is already showing that the product is clearly missing some key interaction points. I have a few ideas on how to evolve it... if you are ok with it, I'd love to share some mockups to get your feedback :)
Florin Muresan
@enrico_foschi Definitely! I'd love to help. I'm a bit short on time this August, but send them and I'd be happy to help with feedback. If I had more time I'd even be thinking of plans to help you gather community. The approach is really good. You just need people inside the platform to join book clubs and spark the conversations. Then great flames will emerge. // note to self: flames and books don't sit well.

I really love the idea! I hope you'll be able to get it off the ground. I never thought of building a literary circle from the perspective of readers before. Used to think mostly about writers and fans reading what writers create. (tried a startup around this back in 2010 or 2011, I think) This is very refreshing to see and I hope it will get retention from users. I'm pretty excited at the moment. Maybe I'll be able to bring one of our communities in to read some marketing books together at one point.

Did you ever wish you could share the experience of reading a book, chapter after chapter, with other people? Reading opens our minds. Sharing the experience empowers us even more. With this goal in mind and the dream to create and empower conversations around the books that we read and love, I created Lybrum. On Lybrum you can create public and private book clubs on any available book, where you can share and discuss anything you like about them. It can be used: - with your team and your colleagues - between mentors and mentees, teacher and students - with your friends, your family or in your relationship It could be used by anybody that wants to share the experience of reading a book *together*. After countless coding nights and weekends, way too many ☕️ and not enough 🍕, I’m happy to launch this to gather the first round of feedback and build on top of it :) I’d love to hear what you think, and how I could make it better :) I have a dream: to connect people through the power of books. This is my first step :) To all book lovers and not around the world, have a fantastic day, Enrico

@enrico_foschi hey, really sorry to see Lybrum is not online anymore. Can you please give me the awesome texts that you had prepared by default for each book club that was started on the platform? - those things really helped me track my progress with each book in a much smarter and organized way.

We need more products like this! I really like the idea and hopefully it will inspire people to read more.
Enrico Foschi
Thank you @sonya_eldarova! This is exactly one of the reasons why I worked on this. What do you think I could do, to engage people even more?
Sonya Eldarova
@enrico_foschi Connect with your community. Physically go out and talk to people who fit your Persona. I think word of mouth can work in this case :) And you will also hear more feedback from people which will eventually help you to build new features in future.

It's nice, that with Lybrum you are not forced into a linear reading book club but you can discover comments and thoughts of fellow readers chapter by chapter. Therefore you can read in your own pace and don't have to force yourself to read faster or slower than you usually would to stick with the same pace as the other readers.
Enrico Foschi
@derstadtpirat Yes, that's exactly one of the points :) - glad that you find it beneficial! One challenging thing, is how to get people to update their status within the book. Would you have any suggestions about this?

Whilst the outcome of reading is always beautiful, because it brings new knowledge and perspectives, reading can feel lonely sometimes. I am really glad Lybrum is now out there, and excited to finally share my reading experiences with other humans :)
Enrico Foschi
@donatella_m_ thank you! Regarding the sharing, lots more to work around that, in terms of workflow :)

This is a revolutionary way to share the knowledge & experience you gather from the books you read with whoever you want. You can create private book clubs, invite members and leave comments on different chapters of your book.

Thank you @the_neuroscientist ❤️

I find this a classy idea especially for people like me who don´t read much or lack of time, you get inspired of what you can read in a limited time that can empower yourself! Solid work
Enrico Foschi
Thank you @chen_wang1 - this is one of the key reasons why I decided to work on it :)
Artem Galenko
Wish you good luck! Looks like a great idea
Enrico Foschi

Enrico Foschi
@lachlankirkwood thank you! This is just the start, and I hope to get a lot of community feedback to build on top of.

Obvious educational use case, very cool.
Enrico Foschi
@conner_miller yes, I can see a huge potential there. The challenge is, how to get it started on that field :)
