Does exactly what it says it will do, easy keyboard shortcut, and fair price. I can't believe MacOS doesn't have this out of the box

was a huge fan of Lunar, had to gitch it for MonitorControl when I updated one day and it became completely bloated. Glad you've made a lite version!

@smallder The full version of Lunar was always about the adaptive modes and automatic brightness, that's why it's more complex than MonitorControl. Lunar 5 is a lot leaner now, if you'd like to check it out. But if you only need simple dimming without DDC brightness control, Lunar Lite is the right app

Nice! I've tried Lunar before but it didn't seem to work for me, so sadly this probably wouldn't either. I guess I should probably stop using a 2001 display lol.

@gabriel_fonseca2 Lunar Lite doesn't try to adjust the hardware brightness of the monitor using DDC, so monitor incompatibility is never a problem here. But it's a matter of taste if you like the software dimming or not.

Might be just what I'm looking for! Little hesitant tho to download it because I'm not 100% sure if it will work to control the Xiaomi Mi Monitor I have.

@dennissimeau1 Lunar Lite will surely work with your Xiaomi Mi Monitor! Because the AppStore doesn’t allow low level stuff like changing brightness through DDC, Lunar Lite only does software dimming using Gamma tables (what f.lux does but without altering color temperature) That makes it work on absolutely all monitors, even Airplay and Sidecar displays.
