@antonosika You're killing it! I've come to love Lovable! Looking forward to watching your journey :)
Been following Lovable since day one - loving this Figma-style editing feature! Quick wishlist: style presets for quick formatting and an undo/redo timeline would be chef's kiss âš
@zhiqi_shi Thanks a lot! Please share feedback and suggestions whenever they come to mind
does Lovable Visual Edits support collaborative editing in real-time, similar to Figma or Webflow?
@hamza_afzal_butt
Great question! Collaboration on Lovable is not live yet, but once it is you'll of course use visual edits on shared projects as well. We're still working out how to make that flow super smooth.
@antonosika Hoppas vi fÄr er hjÀlp pÄ vÄr launch den 18 februari - och att vi ses pÄ vÄr lanseringsfest :)
@marco_ceruti You can use Lovable & Cursor together! Lots of teams that start in Lovable, export the code, and eventually continue in Cursor
Congrats on the launch! đ Combining AI with Figma-like visual edits is a game-changer. Super excited to see where Lovable goes next!
congrats on the launch! đ
Itâs great that youâre bridging the gap between quick AI-driven changes and more detailed, hands-on tweaks. The ability to instantly adjust text or components without any extra prompts is a big time-saver, especially when fine-tuning design elements.
@gemanor Hard agree! We're exploring switching between specialist interfaces where they make sense, expect more!
@fabhed Iâve enjoyed the speed of AI in building projects, but sometimes I wanted more precise controlâso Visual Edits sound like a perfect upgrade! The ability to tweak text and components directly without relying on prompts makes the workflow much smoother. Iâm curiousâdo you plan to introduce more advanced styling controls, like real-time design previews or responsive layout adjustments?
@fabhed @kui_jason Jumping in here. Yes, but very carefully. We actually built more than what we shipped and then pulled it out after realising how much can be legacy when carefully paired with AI.
We plan to expand with more common styling controls (e.g. gradients), but compared to past tools we'll look for bigger leapfrogs in usability + utility in things like layouts.
It took me longer to write the description than it did to generate a response. Impressive!
Hey @antonosika Congratulations! this product Lovable Visual Edits seems to target a vertical market really well. It looks useful! I will try it
Hey Anton, I truly love the idea of building an app in seconds! As a busy entrepreneur, I don't have time to deal with complicated coding.
Being able to build a lovable app using only a chat interface would save me so much time and hassle. Thanks for making it happen!
Ahhhh nothing beats a bit of Lovable - Love to see the updates etc. Anton - Best of luck with this launch, can't wait to use it myself!!
Loving the visual edits! It's especially useful for those text edits - makes it a lot easier
Lovable is such an awesome company because they listen to users and make impactful changes. We've been asking for this for a while and the Lovable team delivered and tbh even over delivered on this ! +1 nice job!!
Coooool! AI has really changed a lot of industries. Making a website or app UI design used to be a huge hassle. There were so many steps and you had to deal with code links. But now, AI can generate it right away. I can't wait to try it out.
Lovable
Hey PH community! đ Anton here, creator of Lovable
We've received lots of feedback that people love the speed of AI, but crave the control over granular changes that design tools offer.
We've fixed this.
Introducing Visual Edits to Lovable.
What's new?âš
Changes to your Lovable projects could previously be made through prompting our AI, or committing code changes directly to Github.
Now, you can directly change text or components in the app interface. Edits there are instant and do not require a prompt to Lovable.
How to use Visual Edits in Lovable:
1. In the editor, you will then see a new button called "Edit" in the prompt box
2. Click "Edit" and select the element you want to change
3. Edit the element with any of our controls - or by applying custom Tailwind classes
Whether you are a designer, a developer, or have another background -- We think that this is the first step towards an entirely new way of building software.
This is of course just the beginning and we're already envisioning countless additions to the MVP. Would love your feedback & hear what you'd love to see added!
