Thanks for hunting us @chrismessina! The story behind gptengineer.app is that we noticed that AI devtools miss the "super fast feedback" that you get when you ask for high level changes in plain english, see the full result instantly (not see the code), then correct the AI if it misunderstood anything. This is what lead us to build gptengineer.app. Even as a developer, the flow of gptengineer.app is much faster in the initial prototyping stages. After prototyping is done and it's deployed, it's all backed by git. This means that human developers can also jump in, and push back to git to deploy their changes – while non-technical people keep doing changes with plain English. Looking forward to get feedback and input from the entire Product Hunt community! Also, here is our discord: https://discord.gg/ScRPRkvRTf I'll be here to answer any comments.

@antonosika, Kudos on launching gptengineer.app! 🌟 You've bridged a crucial gap in AI development tools, introducing instant, plain-English feedback and seamless transition from AI prototyping to human-led development. A true milestone for both tech and non-tech innovators alike

@chrismessina Hey Chris--This is actually something Cheat Layer supported 4 months ago, with instant publishing to github and Vercel https://youtu.be/ZsopVcNa68M The latest version now has many more features that gptengineer.app like adding dalle3 images, stable diffusion videos, and selecting specific elements to edit them live: https://youtu.be/ujghCjfkY48

Seems like a great product. Excited to see what comes next. Congratz on the launch and good luck today! :)
Anton Osika
Thanks @davor_kolenc ! Looking forward to your feedback.
Congratulations to the gptengineer.app team on the incredible launch on Producthunt! You're definitely revolutionizing how web apps are built and deployed. An interesting suggestion might be to consider integrating a visual aid or graphic interface in the process, so non-tech users can better understand the architecture of their app as they iterate in plain English. Looking forward to seeing your continuous growth and success!

Thanks @manmohit !

OK WOW! This looks like magic. Going to be a HUGE brainstorm assist and time saver for our team. WOW AGAIN!!!

Thanks @tomorbach !

GPT Engineer looks amazing. I use GPT4 for engineering tasks and it’s great. Knowing that GPT Engineer will 10x what I can do is so exciting.
Jonathan Gorczyca
Congrats on the formal PH launch! Really love the natural language way of constructing something. I have so. many. ideas.

Thanks @watch84 !

The potential for gptengineer.app in the development community is huge. Great to see innovative tools making prototyping accessible. Well done!
Anton Osika
Thanks @altiamkabir! Looking forward to your feedback along the way.

GPT Engineer was the first AI based coding tool that succesfully created a cloaking script for me to use with Google ads haha. Havent checked your website yet, Im about to go in and signup, this can only be quality! Good luck with this app!

Thanks @zekighulam ! Looking forward to your feedback along the way. Appreciate the feedback.

@antonosika I'm currently working on a coding project. If you'd like, I can provide a real review for this product. The job would require a GPT-engineer to review my current codebase and further develop it. I'm not a coder; I know some HTML and CSS, but with this basic knowledge, I've been able to use GPT coding to piece together things I never thought were possible. Now, I'm undertaking the most challenging task so far (for me). Let's see if the GPT-engineer has what it takes to make a product SaaS-ready and get it approved on Codecanyon!

This could be a game-changer for prototyping. Much better than fighting ChatGPT to get useful output!

Grats on the launch! Would love to see some examples of what was made using this :)
Anton Osika
Thanks @brenkinfa ! Check out our discord for examples: https://discord.gg/ScRPRkvRTf Looking forward to your feedback using it.

So excited to see this out in the world. The open source version of GPT Engineer is amazing and has already helped level up the no-code experience for myself and my team.
Philip Daquin
Great work! Its similar to the new AI feature available on Framer but this time you get to see the code!
Bryan
Congrats! As a Founder, I'm looking forward to trying this. Will be happy to provide additional feedback.

This product looks insane. I have tried getting chat gpt to help build sites for me before but there is still a ton of friction and mistakes when it comes to actually creating a great result. I am very excited to test out your tool!
Guy Eshet
Looks super cool! I love the connection between natural language -> code -> deployment. This could be a true game changer. I think when you incorporate it with existing design systems / UI frameworks you'll really add a lot more value!
Camilo Villa
This will be a game changer for the industry, some entrepreneurs like myself don't have the biggest experience coding will be able to leverage a tool like GPT Engineer and be able to create faster and leaner new startups. Awesome.
Brandon Yan
Congrats! I really like how it integrates with git and doesn't just spit out standalone code like ChatGPT does. Nice work.

So, this tool does what it says on the tin. I'm an ideas person. Not particularly gifted in programming, but I come up with ideas to solve problems. This tool helps me to build out the react ccomponents for my application that I'm thinking of. Great work.
Jason Lopez
I can't wait for the first problem I run into where I can solve it instead of saying to myself, " if I could code I'd build the solution"
Borja Berastegui
I’ve seen some other similar projects but I’m definitely interested in seeing if this can help someone (me) prototyping frontend MVPs for my APIs!
