As someone who mainly uses Figma for a lot of design work this comes in super handy. 🫡
Congratulations on the launch team and will definitely be trying this one out sometime soon.
Hey everyone,
We're back! We launched Lottielab's beta publicly just 3 months ago, and have been blown away by the community's feedback and love - leading to it being the Product of the week and Design tool of the month!
As part of our mission to democratise motion design, a lot of you have asked us to also improve the workflow for animating your Figma designs as Lottie animations.
We've been working hard at this, and this plugin will be our biggest release since launching the editor, making it the most complete workflow for animating your Figma designs and exporting them to Lottie, Gif or MP4.
Why is this the most complete workflow for animating your Figma designs? Lottielab was built from the ground up for designers. Which means your designs export from Figma as close to 1:1 as it can get, with all its complexities, so you can animate them seamlessly. This means means supporting your Figma design's:
- Layer names and structure
- Gradients and solid colors
- Full vector path support
- Frames and Groups
- Position, size, spacing...
- And more still coming
Lottielab's editor offers the easiest, fastest and most robust way to create animations for your websites and apps, exported as Lotties, Gifs and MP4s and allows you and your team to manage all these assets in one place.
And with the Lottie format being supported natively by almost all major design tools out there (Canva, AdobeXD, Origami, Webflow, Framer etc), we've become the most complete way for designers to create animations for all platforms.
We're working on a lot more integrations so we can give you a single reliable hub for all your animation needs, reducing the headache of mastering multiple platforms. This plugin is one of our first steps in democratising motion design and we've engineered it to be stellar, but don't take our word for it, take it for a spin and let us know your feedback.
Wow, this is insane! Lottie itself is fascinating, now that it's integrated into Figma, it'll certainly make Figma so more incredible. Big congrats to Lottie team. and congrats on your launch!
Copy in Figma, paste in Lottielab. Then animate using a tool that's built for animation from the ground up, with a design language that feels right at home to Figma users. We've already seen this flow working splendidly for designers, and we've been using the plugin internally for quite some time. It has already become an indispensable part of our own workflow―and we can't wait to see what you'll come up with 🚀
A better Figma integration has been one of the most requested features since we launched back in August and we are so excited to finally share this with you all ✨
Can't wait to see what creativity this unlocks! 🎨
Lottie Animations as a format is solid. However, I explored it back in August with the FIgma integration and found a few challenges with animations—especially with consistency.
Better Integration with this release. That's really great to hear. Looking forward to taking this for a test run.
Congrats on the launch!

This is awesome! 🚀 I'm eager to try out the new Figma plugin for Lottielab. Can you share a bit more about how the plugin simplifies the animation workflow for Figma designs and ensures a smooth transition from Figma to Lottie, Gif, or MP4? Exciting times for motion design! 💫
Is it possible to use Lottielab animations in email marketing campaigns? If so, how does it ensure compatibility across different email clients and platforms?
The attention to detail in maintaining the integrity of Figma designs during export is impressive. Looking forward to trying it out! Congrats on the launch! 👏
Congrats! There is no more need to go to after effects and animate things.
Easy, Fast, and being able to edit it online great. Removes the step of export and then edit. straight to the point🔥
Wow, congrats on launching Lottielab! It seems like a game-changer for designers wanting to spice up their projects with animation. I can't wait to see how this streamlines the workflow from Figma to Lottie.
Was quite enthusiastic, but as soon as I tried it, I became dissatisfied. Where can I find "animations for all scenarios" like these? All I see is an ellipse and a rectangle. Perhaps I'm the issue here... Would be very grateful for your assistance:)
Congratulations on the launch! The focus on integrations and becoming a reliable hub for animation needs across platforms demonstrates a forward-thinking approach. Your dedication to streamlining the animation process and making it more accessible for designers is truly commendable. I'm excited to see how Lottielab continues to revolutionize the world of motion design. Best wishes for ongoing success, and I look forward to seeing the impact of this pioneering plugin!
