Loop Team is the genesis of my previous experiences with a distributed team. My last company, @tempoai, had team members across the globe. After we had been acquired by Salesforce, I saw first-hand some of the struggles of remote work. Although Salesforce was a remote friendly company, many of my remote team members were having to fly to the office on a regular cadence to feel connected or rather “stay in the loop.” To foster the feeling of working side-by-side, our team built Loop Team. With Loop Team, we combine presence with instant communications into a virtual office experience. We know many virtual offices have emerged since the onset of COVID but our approach is unique. We have focused on what we call “Deep Presence,” what we believe is the operating system of remote work. Deep presence is about determining real user intent such as when someone wants to chat, or take a walk, or work in flow. Most communication products do not try to solve this resulting in frequent interruptions and notification fatigue. Even Slack and Zoom at best, show either manual or traffic light presence which simply doesn’t work. With Loop Team, we recognized this and today we’re unveiling our virtual office on Product Hunt.. We hope that in using Loop Team, notification fatigue goes down and timely ad-hoc communication goes up! Personalized Conversation Feed — When meetings are finished, they can be published to the workspace asynchronously for your distributed team. The discussions are automatically summarized using proprietary AI built in collaboration with SRI International (makers of Nuance, Siri). Looks really neat :). I love the simple idea of adding focused/deep work option – very important and having less distractions actually something that makes remote work so valuable, so no point to ruin it with constant IM notifications.
