Supercharge your hybrid workspaces by bringing your teams back into offices with more purpose while also giving them the flexibility of planning their own work week.
Congratulations on your Product Hunt launch! I like the product design. π₯ Curious if you're focusing more on small startups (<5 people) or towards larger enterprise teams?
@saasdesigner Hi Bren, thank you for the great question! From a company standpoint we are currently focusing on companies below the mid market size and then we will scale from there. Our current batch of clients average around a 50 persona headcount which seems to be a great fit. Our product goes beyond working in small teams as we recognize that some employee are really close with people in other departments so we want to bring back those lost connections / traditions (ping pong @5:00?)
Congrats on the amazing launch of Litespace on Product Hunt ππ I'm super excited to see how it can help companies manage their hybrid workspaces in an efficient and productive manner. Could you tell us a bit more about how Litespace can help with office scheduling and data-driven decisions? π€π€ I'm looking forward to seeing how it can revolutionize the future of hybrid work! ππ
@paolo_degiglio Hi Paolo! Amazing question. For office scheduling, Litespace recommends what the optimal day is for an employee to go into the office based on 1. Their schedule and 2. Who else is going in? If a lot of people from your department or close colleagues from other teams are going in, it could promote to take those meetings in person. For data-driven decisions, this is focused more on the HR admin side where the owner can track what their office utilization is, most popular days, and time that people are at the office to help plan corporate events. Let me know if this helps!
Great insight that creates massive opportunity in the new era of working. Really like the UI.
We have a lot of contractors. I could see how this could help consolidate some of that coordination. Can you invite anyone to join in the workspace?
@justin_govy Fantastic question! Yes, anyone that will be going to your office can be added to your workplace. Could depend if they have a different domain email but I am sure there is a solution! We even let people setup shared offices so you could even call your work place "WeWork" π
re:
> Open to learning more about your hybrid/remote experience
one challenge i've found is that -- now that there are all these different options available, remote, in person, hybird -- there's a lot more coordination cost. vs before you'd just know you'd see ppl in the office. Curious how Litespace helps with that?
Also, curious: what's Litespace's own company policy, and how did you arrive on that?
@stedmanblake Our team is currently remote with the other founders, but we plan on opening an office once we have employees. That is a huge challenge with many firms and the way we solve it is through scheduling. Having employee's preference and location information so we can generate your hybrid schedule ahead which allow you to plan for the office visit better!
@stedmanblake Best of luck on the upcoming launch! I love to use the analogy of creating social snowball affects. If you knew a head of time the c-suite or your department head was going it, I bet most people would give it 110% to get into the office for facetime. I don't have the exact stat but I am certain most employees feel less connected to their boss / management which can impact promotions / reviews. Would love your thoughts on this topic! That example is more professional but the good old days of 5:00 Ping-Pong in the lounge is something we want to revive. I was always one of the competitive guys in the office!
@cotroneo61 Yep all makes sense - thanks for sharing!
I've heard the phrase "remote tolerant" which tries to get at this idea that -- practically speaking -- there are more professional opportunities for those who get facetime w/ more of the team than those who do not.
I like this because it doesn't try to makes some artificial parity - it accepts the reality and ensures that teammates know what they're signing up for in either case.
@stedmanblake I couldn't agree more and I don't think people call this out as a major disadvantage of working fully remotely. Especially if you are the single person in a team from another city. You kind of become an outsider and how much can performance really makeup for that?
Congrats on the launch! As someone who graduated during the pandemic and started work remotely (now hybrid) this is extremely useful to get to know colleagues.
@mayaa.17 I have lot track of how many times I have gone into the office and seen someone that I didn't even know worked at the company. Onboarding / integrating new hires is another major challenge we are working on π
@muhammad_jaffar congrats on the launch! looks great. as per your ask, here's one spontaneous thought and one feedback point:
- thought: maybe to stand out from other similar solutions, try focusing on specific events/reasons for employees to come back to the office or meet in person. might help in encouraging employees to use your service to meet in the office for X / a specific reason vs "just" meeting for any reason. I'm guessing the key is to get employees to use your service. if employees use the service, employers will be compelled to buy it.
- feedback: the landing page is a bit text heavy. also, i'd make the first headline upon landing more about the benefit/outcome of using your service vs what it does.
my 2 cents. keep it up!
@muhammad_jaffar@cederlund Edward, we really appreciate your feedback! Our model is to sell b2b but I love how you mentioned even getting individual teams on for free leaves companies with no choice! π
@muhammad_jaffar Congratulations on launching Litespace on Product Hunt! Your solution to improve corporate culture and employee productivity in hybrid work environments is very timely and relevant. Good luck with your mission to revolutionize the future of hybrid work!
@muhammad_jaffar Congratulations to you and the Lightspace team. This innovation will come very important to companies while they are trying to manage the hybrid model. Having flexibility and still feeling connected while catering to both employees and employers without the right infrastructure is very difficult. Well done folks
@muhammad_jaffar@abdi_jama3 Thank you Abdi! One thing we love to remind clients is to stay away from "mandatory" + "mandates". It is about nurturing culture and providing them the tools they need to be flexible and have the best office experience! π
Congratulations on the launch of Litespace! I wish you all the best in revolutionizing the future of work. Keep up the great work!
What size teams do you think would best benefit from using Litespace?
@algrab Hi Sergei, thank you for the great question! From a company standpoint we are currently focusing on organizations that are (startups -> small/mid market) and then we will scale from there. For individual teams, there is no optimal number as even in a small team of 3, one of the employees could have lots of connections outside of their department that they want to be connecting with. Example would be someone in a sales function would want the opportunity to connect with people from product/marketing for both professional and social interactions. Let me know if this makes sense!
Super important! People always assume employees are happy in the remote work model, but oftentimes these people feel really isolated. Would be great to have a feature to check in with employees and automatically schedule time for everyone to meet for creative team bonding.
@cjries Hi Christopher! Thank you for the feedback. Litespace can automatically suggest social events like a birthday / work anniversary. It is so true how employers assume everything is fine but we even can support HR admins with quarterly surveys to get feedback and track improvement over time!
Hey @muhammad_jaffar! Congrats on your PH launch! Litespace looks very promising in our hybrid-mode era. Are you currently focusing on small companies and start-ups or enterprise ones?
@nikita_abrosimov1 Thank you Nikita! We are currently focusing on small companies and startups. But, we will be scaling to enterprises later this year!
@muhammad_jaffar@jack_lau Couldn't be more proud of our team at Litespace. The feedback and comments are overwhelming so thank you to everyone supporting us along the way! π₯
The recommended scheduling for in-person collaboration is such a neat idea! Iβm wondering, sometime schedules can change on a moments notice as peopleβs circumstances evolve, how does this help encourage users to keep their schedule up to date?
@nmastracci Hi Natalie, This is a great question. We understand that things can come up the night before / same day that people were planning to go into the office. Yes, there will always be the case of "no shows" but if someone has notified 5 people that they are going in to connect, the probably of them not going in drops significantly. I for one can say I was planning on going into the office but there was no one that I was planning to meet and then you get the thoughts of "I don't feel like going anymore..." By being connected with your closest friends, seeing that executive / CEO is going in, that you are going to be motivated to go. Let me know if that helps! P.S we are in the process of a rewards system to make it even more interactive. π
Congratulations the whole team of Litespace for launching this amazing product. It's exciting to see the hard work and dedication that has gone into bringing this product to market. A big thank you to our incredible team who worked tirelessly to make this launch a reality and to our valued customers for their support. We invite you to give our new product a try and let us know what you think!"
