Beautiful fun app guys! Congratulations! I feel like many have desired this to some extent. Do you feel this is more of a connect to have a joint experience with other groups? E.g. bowling, go karting etc etc. Or simply meeting at a bar and hanging out? Do you feel it's unusual to say hey to strangers IRL these days? Honestly asking with curiosity! 10K beta users is also incredible. Huge well done there! What was your strategy for? Wishing you the absolute best of luck!!

@leojbarnett Thanks for the questions Leo! We've seen it being used both ways. Individuals typically search for more general friendships and use the "Moves" as a jumping off point to spark conversation. Groups, however, use it more for the joint experience and have a time urgency to it (i.e. groups looking to meet others to play basketball at a specific time). As for marketing strategy - not going to disclose the secret sauce, but it involved a lot of 1 on 1 outreach to the demographics we thought would enjoy the app 😊 Thanks for the warm wishes and feel free to reach out if you'd like to further discuss!

@nicpodesta Love that! Big fan of Moves. Some of the best memories are made with new groups. Strangers are wonderful most of the time! Great hustle there then. Damn I was close to the sauce! Stay in touch and all the best again guys!

Hey 👋 Product Hunters! I am building LINK with @alex_ulm, @dayton_hedges, and @ckloi. The idea behind LINK dates back to a pre-COVID ski trip that our co-founders Alex and Dayton went on. After a long day of hitting the slopes, they wanted to have a fun night out and meet new people in Colorado together. But they quickly ran into a problem… Why were all of the “social” apps available either for dating or individual-oriented? After realizing many friends shared a similar experience, the LINK team came together in 2021 to create a new social app - a platform to make new friends with your old friends (and without the pressure of hookup culture!) So how does LINK work? *Customize your individual profile with personal interests (we call them “Moves”), a witty bio, and your favorite socials 💃 *Invite friends to make a Group (a group profile) and link new people together with your old friends. Don’t worry - you can have as many Groups as you want 👫 *Discover events personalized to your interests with Night Out and Ticketmaster APIs (as well as some exclusive parties, concerts, and discounts!) 👀 We launched on App Store yesterday after filling our beta with 10K users, and we’re very excited get as much feedback as possible about the product. Happy to answer all questions here! P.S. We're also giving away a few free hats to those who give the most detailed feedback on the product! 🧢

Great job LINK team! One question for clarification: Do you NEED to have a group profile to use the app?
Nicolas Podesta
@abhishek_mahanti1 Thanks for checking out LINK! Good question - no you do not need to have a group profile! LINK works just as well solo since ALL users have an individual profile. However, we do think it is a little more fun with groups 😀

Crazy nothing let ppl do this before. Can you give a little more info about "moves"? Seems like a big part of the product.
Nicolas Podesta
@ally_nev Thanks for commenting Allison! Yes of course - "Moves" serves two purposes. First, it is a strong form of expression for each user to showcase their personality, as they can list up to 10 different "Moves" or interests on their profile. Second, it allows users to find potential friends who are most compatible, as you can filter by one or more Move at any given time. Whether it's finding a new place to grab drinks, meet a group to play tennis, or simply go on a run - you can do it all on LINK!

This app is really cool and exactly what I was looking for! Before I was invited to beta test this app I was using dating apps to try and meet people going to my college before I moved. It’s really a great idea and I hope this app becomes grows in popularity!
Nicolas Podesta
@christian_carter2 Thanks so much Christian! 😊

Looks beautiful. Do you need to ID verify to use it?
Nicolas Podesta
@james_milson Hey James, thanks so much! While ID verification is not required - we do strongly suggest it. Many of our users want to meet up in person and knowing that you're not talking to a "bot" or an impersonator is a defining factor of our community ☺️
Arthur Maurício
Love the concept and congrats on launch! I’m curious: What’s the age demographic here?
Nicolas Podesta
@arthurmfg Thanks Arthur! We're 17+ on the App Store and our main demographic thus far is 17-30. But we have people all ages looking to meet new people... we have some people 70+ years old! 😊
Youssef Ahmed
