Hey PH! After a year of learning Spanish with Duolingo I felt stuck. Theoretically I was supposed to be on B1 level. But I couldn't read or listen to anything practical. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that apps like Duolingo are the biggest scam in language learning. You can't get fluent by studying a few made up sentences. Even if they pretend to describe a real situation, you're not actually in that situation while you're learning - so, there's no purpose. Therefore, you don't also learn properly. Plus the vocabulary (and even grammar) of real content is always different from the made up content. So, to get fluent you need real content. And you need a lot of it. Plus you need to be able to choose what you're interested in (the complete opposite of what Duolingo is doing). I created Lingo Champion to immerse myself in Spanish completely. I wanted to study from abundant real content, not from a few meaningless sentences. Personally, I feel like my grammar has been improving rapidly since I started to use the early beta - I can now read most news articles without having to look up much. Hope you guys find it useful as well. This is a public beta release, so, feedback is very much appreciated :)

What an interesting idea! Will be glad to test it out! Learning Spanish myself on Duolingo and do see that I need more of a real language to feel free when visiting Madrid. Thank you, I am diving in!
