@vigodnee really cool! I had a look at the website. No non-sense, just put the link and it's done! Wondering if there is an English version too? The present site is in Russian, right?
Hey folks! On behalf of the Lighthouse team, I just wanted to say thanks for the 8.0 love and for checking us out π We're excited to see how folks use the new Treemap feature for analyzing their JavaScript bundles and hope you get value out of the work we've been putting into Core Web Vitals tooling.
Special shout-outs go to: Paul Irish, Connor Clark, Elizabeth Sweeny, Patrick Hulce, Brendan Kenny, Adam Raine and many others without who this release would simply not have been possible.
@addyosmani Glad to see you here Addy with Lighthouse 8. I like the improvements and this is definitely one of the most important products I use before I launch something.
Is it most useless tool in the internet? First - the results differ by 20 points for the same site between checks, listing different reasons each time. Second - it is used to position businesses in the google search - random scores == random positioning and businesses spending money on trying to please this random tool. 3 Even the google page for this tool ranks extremely badly for the mobile score - even google doesn't know how to please this random tool? 5. Due to randomness of the scores, it is highly possible that after implementing improvements worked hard and tested by plenty of people in your team, your score will be worse than before. Does Google love when businesses waste money? 4. GTmetrix seems to be way more consistent and more relevant about what really happens (like FCP can happen on blank page in Lighthouse while showing correctly in GTmetrix).
Hey WebDevs of PH π
Take notice of the Lighthouse 8.0! They've made some significant changes to make your life easier. The most notable of them is the Lighthouse Treemap, which lets you see what's in the JavaScript you ship and find where you can trim based on module size and execution coverage.
Check out their GitHub changelog and try the demo!
