Hi there Hunters 👋, This is Sang Ha, solo founder of Lente. I am super excited and nervous to share what I’ve been working on for the past 6 months. When I read, I realized that I often have to go back in time, often years and years, to find the best contents in a given field or topic. And I would be lucky if I found some in few hours after surfing through Google, Twitter, and Github. Then I wondered ,“Why don’t we actively curate great contents in the web like we do for books”? Because great content’s don’t have expiration dates, right? Actually they only get better with time as good wines do. That’s how I started building Lente. Lente is a new mobile reading app aiming to curate not only current contents, but also past contents. In the process, I want to give the power to curate and evaluate back to users. Because there’s no better judge than public. Think of Spotify for their user-generated playlists! Here are some highlights 📚 Today Enjoy latest meta-curated contents from various trusted sources (media, popular newsletters with assorted links). Never miss what’s going on in the world. 🌲 Past (Timeless) Access older contents, curated and recommended by the Lente community. (Here I have created initial examples to get us started) 🗂️ Curate & Archive Want to permanently store the reads? Archive your contents and organize them into collections. Your public collections will be the basis of the curation :) ✍️ Highlight & Note Of course, you can highlight and take notes on a slick, non-distracting reader view from Day 1. Your highlights and notes are consolidated based on dates so that you can easily keep track of your insights by time. 🏷️ Tag Want more granular management of your contents? You can tag them with as many as you want and search them instantly. Future Obviously the product is not without its embarrassments and bugs. But I plan to continuously implement / fix / improve / iterate it and see how far it goes. So bear with me! And maybe it will become the Spotify of texts one day. Having said that all, I’m after all first-time solo founder haha. Any comments or feedback on the product would be really grateful in guiding the direction.
