What are the advantages over e.g. Spactacle?
AntScript0
@csaba_kissi LayAuto is automatically with out mouse click or key press.
Ktryn Dchrs
Actually, I see this one as a complement to Spectacle since you can create presets which are quite useful!

I'm not sensitive to this myself, but selling your product for $6.66 (666 is considered a bad number by certain cultures or religions) may have negative connotations with potential market segments. Perhaps $6.99?

I liked the idea, but it doesn't seem to work for me on my Macbook Pro 15 2017. I had to open it twice for it to show me the instructions to activate it in the accessibility menu, and after that when I open it, it doesn't do anything.

@cataplines @aletocar thanks for your report the issue , I will check it right now.

@cataplines @aletocar @kees_romkes Hi guys, I find a issue when Separate Spaces disabled, can you enable this setting and try again ( System Preferences -> Mission Control -> ☑️ Displays have separate Spaces ) , I will release a new version to fix it later. Thanks.
AntScript0

@cataplines @kees_romkes @antscript Working perfectly now! Great tool, will try out and see if i stay with this or spectacle.

@kees_romkes @aletocar @antscript I tried to download it now but after installing it, it says the trial has expired already so... Ouch.

Tried Layauto but didn't find any real "great USP's" that would make it my replacement for magnet or spectacle, because I didn't find any solution for the following scenario just yet; 1. I work on my laptop in the train or on the way quite a bit, and then just work full screen in apps. 2. I come to my office and have a dual screen setup there, splitting apps in half and using them either sideways or on top of each other (always half width or half height) I'm currently using a set of apple scripts to arrange these windows, but with changing window titles and business needs, I'd like to do this a bit faster, and I'd expected Layauto to do this, but unfortunately it's not. Fixing that would be great, an alternative for me would be better for this moment ;-)

Does not seem to do any auto stuff for me?
AntScript0
@blakefolgado Did app works ( has a menubar icon ) ? If not , there is a crash bug , I'm working on fix it, if yes, just let it work on background , you will find the function. : )

This looks promising, but then the bulk of the comments seem to be bug reports. Any updates?
Alejandro Tocar
I downloaded it, setup the privacy settings, but it doesn't open. Any way to debug?
AntScript0
@aletocar can you help me to test new beta version ? support@layautoapp.com
Kurt Stammberger
